What would you change about the new Fantasyland?

Absolutely not.

Here's what I count:

Mission: Space
Test Track
Soarin'
American Adventure

SSE and UoE have so much potential- but I feel they aren't the must-dos that maybe you'd see on a billboard or on the front panflette of the park guide map.

SSE is THE EPCOT attraction! It's the perfect blend of both sides of the park and the entire theme...You see the past, present and future, ALL around the World. And on the largest scope possible. It's fully in that list of top attractions.

UoE? Used to be. Had a much longer reach and was more stunning. Now, it's just a long dark ride, on a big scale. Solid D. Could be an E again if it were brought up to speed.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I think a lot of people on this forum underestimate the demand for princess meet'n'greets. Disney is only giving people what they want.

I don't think most people have a problem with that. I will probably never stand in any of those lines unless I have a child with me, but I'll be among the first to check out the theming and architecture, etc., and I welcome these changes.

I think you'll find more of the ire towards Pixie Hollow, which is an untested commodity. While everyone loves Tink, the whole fairy thing hasn't caught on nearly like many in Disney's camp thought it would.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Pixie Hollow stuff is downsized before it ever arrives, unless it suddenly springs to mainstream popularity in a way it hasn't before.

As to the original topic, I'm pleased with most of it - most of all Little Mermaid - but I would have really liked another d-ticket dark ride, a la Pinocchio, Alice, or a new one based on Sleeping Beauty.

In any case, I am excited about the progress - and Mermaid is one of my top favorite Disney films, so just the fact that it is getting a major E-ticket is enough for me!

Yes, I can honestly say that. The animatronics in the show are still so ahead of their time.

Ben walks up the stairs, Mark Twain smokes, etc.

Oh come on, Goofy, they could use LED's on Mark Twain's outfit to really make it look authentic, or perhaps they could add modern laser effects to the 1860's sequences... ;)

But SSE felt so out-dated to me. As if it were left the same since 1982. Even my parents whos some favorite attractions are UoE with Ellen, LWTL, and HoP- can't stand SSE (and AA). Maybe it's just me and my odd family, but SSE isn't must-do anymore.

Have you been on since 2007?

The 1994 version felt old at the end it's life, that's true, but the new version really sparkles.

The AAs looked out of date, the ride made learning painful, barely any special effects, the quiz was cheesy, etc. You were practically in the dark for at least 1/3 of the ride!

Made learning painful? WHAT? Painful learning is just hearing it. Visual and audio is all but painful. I encourage you to ride it again and think deeply into what it means.

The AA's were just upgraded...

...The "learning" part is forced a bit, yes, but the script does tie into the upcome scenes better than before...

There are quite a few effects, the only one that I can think of that's gone in the ascent is the Roman Soldier. The descent is a different story...

....The quiz wouldn't be cheesy if they would add the scenery. :(

...And, well, it's a dark ride.

Valid opinion, though I don't agree with a few of the points. Don't it superficially...just enjoy it! :D

I will- but communication is just not my area of enjoyment.

I do however love LWTL and HoP. Go figure. I'm weird.

And the AAs seemed like GMR AAs. :lookaroun:lol:

The AA's were all brought up to date and are more advanced than every AA in MK besides stich and Obama.

Instead of Pixie Hollow they should add the Pinocchio and Alice in Wonderland rides from DL (or versions of those rides).

Exactly

Alice is about to get refreshed and it has withstood the test time... it would seem like an obvious choice over a gamble with the fairy franchise.

More Attractions less Meet & Greets.
*Cinderella Castle walk-thru (like TDL)
*Total re-theme of existing Fantasyland
*Beauty & the Beast Darkride
*if room Alice in Wonderland.
*If room Pinocchio's Daring Journey
*No Pixie Hollow
*Storybook Land Canal Boats.
and most importantly
*GET THE DISNEY PRINCESSES OUT OF AKERSHUS.
