After i read the news of Disney buying Marvel Entertainment i was wondering what WDW park would be impacted by the purchase. What sort of attractions could we see in the near future.

I think it will be awhile before any park is affected. If any of them are affected, it will be DHS. IMO this acquisition is more about the movie studios than anything else.

I am just hoping this won't affect any refurbishments or additions that were already rumored or planned. Disney does have seperate money allocated to each of it's divisions but by dilluting there shares and trying to buy them back within 1 to 2 years cash is going to be tight.

I think it could be reasonably easy to insert some of the Marvel characters into New York Street at the Studios. And perhaps instead of the old, dated, since I was in 5th grade Power Rangers thing could be replaced with Marvel characters. I would hate it though if they went anywhere near Epcot or MK with those guys.

Well I think we are all pretty sure it would be DHS... and I'm also sure we all hope it won't be seen anywhere else. There is no need for it in the 3 other parks.

Even in DHS, it doesn't fit the formula. Nothing about superheroes fits with the theme of hollywood and putting you into the movies. They would have to make a show similar to Indy, but using superheroes. Im not sure about rides.

Or...you know...they could put you into a Superhero movie in a ride.

US based, either DCA or the much anticipated 3rd gate = Superhero or Villan park. Whatever it is, we know most likely west of the MS meaning CA.

Other than that, this wasn't about the theme parks.

According to a WDI insider, Uni may be looking to pull Marvel from IoA.

What about a re-theme of Disney Quest into a sort of Superhero Fortress and include superhero gaming with levels themed differently to major superheroes/villains. I think it could work.

The Marvel acquisition is meant to bring in new revenue streams. Likely won't see any attractions for a long time. But will see merchandise, games, possibly cartoons and the like soon. Can't wait for the Spidey/Mickey team up against Green Gobbie/Pete .
I grew up with Marvel just as much as I did with Disney.
