A Look at the new Mexican Tequila Bar

Just got back from Epcot and I was able to get a look at the new tequila bar in Mexico. I was not actually able to go inside because it was roped off and it appeared that there were a bunch of managers inside. I was able to get some pictures though. From what I saw it looks very nice. I think it will be a positive addition to the Mexican pavilion. And here are the pictures (sorry if they are a little blurry):

Again, this was as close as I was able to get. I didn't notice it while I was there, but looking at the pictures now I notice an absence of tables and chairs.

They won't provide tables and chairs....that way if you can't stand up or hold your drink straight, they won't let you drink anymore ;)

I wonder if they'll serve the tequila out of actual glasses? Didn't see any in the pictures... If there's no tables/chairs, how will they regulate glassware?

Where is this located? I thought this was going to be located next to the Mexico Quick Service area, but this doesn't look like it's there.

Is there another entrance/exit to this little bar? I notice an "Exit" sign in the back of the room; is there access from outside the pavilion? :veryconfu

Most likely that's just an emergency exit that leads backstage. (Looks like it's even open in one of the photos, which would make sense if it's managers/WDI visiting) The only entrances into Mexico from Guest-accessible areas of the park are the two front and two side doors into the lobby within the front temple.

As for this bar, I'd say it's reminiscent of Germany's wine cellar bar. A bar where you can purchase a glass or two (plastic glass), and then perhaps some tall tables off to the side to stand around and chat with others. (Those tables I would presume to be off to the right, out of view of the photo)

Is it all supposed to be just strictly a tequila bar? I only ask, because although a little blurry in the photos, the very last picture in the set seems to have a lot of liquor bottles in the background...or is that just me?

There do appear to be alot of different bottle there. But have you ever walked through the Tequila aisle in a big liquor store? Tequila's popularity has grown a lot recently, and there are easily a few hundred types available in the US. Especially when you figure there are now usually flavored tequilas available, in addition to the standard amber/clear (not their real names but I'm drawing a blank now)

That aside, that seems to be a lot bigger than the store its replacing. This is where the little jewelery store used to be, correct? I thought that store was more wide, and these pictures seem like its more long.

I believe so. When you think about it, there are at least ten popular brands of Tequila. Each brand has at least three or four types. (Patron silver, gold, etc.) If this is successful the idea has potential. You could have a Bourbon bar in the U.S. pavilion, or a Scotch one in the U.K. pavilion.
