A Look at the new Mexican Tequila Bar

I can see that this is going to be where I am going to spend a lot of time when I'm in World Showcase, as if Mexico wasn't already one of my favourite pavilions. A couple of shots of Patron Silver (for some reason, it's the only tequila that I can take shots of and not feel like vomiting immediately afterwards) and then a margarita made with Patron Silver to take with me. Do you suppose they can do a kiwi-flavoured margarita slush, like is part of the Fiesta Margarita? Well, they can, it's a matter of if they want to or not.

I noticed in some pics the carpet is vomit colored so they are planning ahead.

Seriously though, the place looks fantastic and I hope these little "specialty" adds spread throughout all of World Showcase. Very very nice job by someone.

I celebrated the opening of this fine establishment last night, by buying some Patron Cafe.

:lookaroun

Which, btw is probably the most delicious drink I've ever had.

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
Ive yet to find anybody that actually enjoys LA PENCA - Mezcal, that I purchased at the begining of summer. The smokey flavour is too dominant.

And I find that spicy rum be more to me taste when the suns over the yard arm

This is a real cause of celebration for those of us who love to "BOOZE THE WORLD". Thanks Disney!!

And it's extra nice for me in that it allows me to finally forget that jewelry store that was there.
A few years back I paid more that I should have for some dumb ring in there. It didn't quite fit, a bit loose, but I figured I could get it tightened later.
As I should have expected, a few hours later, as I got on my bus heading back to my resort, I looked down and noticed it had already slipped off.
$40 gone.

S___ happens, but it's bugged me ever since.
Now I can go in there, take a couple shots, and wash that memory away forever.

I wonder if they'll serve the tequila out of actual glasses? Didn't see any in the pictures... If there's no tables/chairs, how will they regulate glassware?

Steve updated the WDWMagic News page with officially released Disney Co. pics of the bar... seems that some appetizers will also be served (ceviche!), so I'm assuming that real glassware will be utilized.

This is exciting. As if there wasn't enough places to drink already, lol. This will definately add to the world show case. Everytime I go to Epcot, I try to have booze from as many different pavilions as possible.

Now if only they could have something like this in the Canadian pavilion, for beer or wines/ice wines.

I don't think every addition has to be a new mini bar. There are tons of possibilities out there. The Canadian pavilion needs more help than any other that is for sure. The "upstairs" area if sad.

if they were to add another booze attraction

i personally think the 360 vision movie is awful and seems outdated.

They just installed a new movie. A lot of folks are rooting for a water attraction someday. I think the upstairs could be very popular if they offered CS with samplings of the food served in the TS restaurant there.
They have a nice CS in Japan and it is very good!

I just checked out the official Disney shots, and they're quite nice! It's nice to see whomever they have taking the shots going for some more creative shots; their photography had been getting a bit stale, in my opinion. I especially like the use of the ultra-wide angle lens! Really makes the place look even more awesome.

Hopefully now the margaritas will be good at the pavilion. I have had them in the past and yukeeee! No good at all. I can't wait to check it out.

Can't wait! We're doing a guy trip to the F&W in October to Drink Around the World (is there a t-shirt?). I'm originally from south Texas and I wasn't aware of sipping tequila. Very cool. And I haven't had ceviche since our stay in the Panama Canal Zone.

BTW, thought the 'ritas at La Cantina were pretty darn good!
