Epcot Rumor Thread

Since there was one up for every other park, poor little Epcot felt left out. The rumor I heard was that they were thinking about doing some kind of work with Imagination. But that has been the "rumor" ever since I signed up here about 4 years ago, so take it with a grain of salt, of course.

It seems that, for the Imagination refurb, it is more likely to be happening.
What is really interesting is what is going to happen Wonders of Life.

So...many....EPCOT Threads....:lookaroun:lol:

Word on the street it JII Announcement in October. There's also the possibility of a new Soarin' film. I find the latter a bit more unlikely, because that popped back into the scheme of things only about a week ago. In fact, for me, a day or two I heard it on here.

The JII is proposed to be announced this october. (although it seems more likely next year)

A new Soarin' film will inevitably happen but don't expect one for at least three years.

I don`t know about an official announcement, but things may point to one more and more by then.

Figment's face is PRICELESS!!!!

I actually would like to see Robin Williams as Dreamfinder.

Jack Black just doesn't fit the part. The Dreamfinder needs to be someone who seems completely sane, yet somewhat insane at the same time. He's a crackpot inventor at his heart. Robin Williams would be a perfect choice for Dreamfinder, but if he isn't an option, than I would suggest Daniel Day Lewis or Jim Brodabent for the role.

I believe thats the joke. :ROFLOL:

Nobody would seriously consider Jack Black for the role.

I hear that WOL is still destined to become the "Wonders of Demolition" but other than that, I've been out of the mousehouse for so long, i'm not in the loop anymore.

There have been rumors and axed plans for years regarding new additions to World Showcase.

To all the vets in the know....(any whispers?)

How do these rumors stand now? Thankfully, this Epcot rumor thread has been started so I could ask.

I know politics, economics, security have been issues for certain potential country pavilions in the past.

I would love to see Spain. An important country in Europe yet I'm really surprised that this country never happened in WS.

Ride/attraction ideas would be endless and the architecture/famous sites reinterpreted could be so beautiful. Between, flamenco music and dance, tapas, wines, costumes....I'd love to see it.

It's happening. Since day one, there's been talk that eventually WDW would get their own version so it would make a bit more sense. Honestly, you can doubt it'll happen, but I'm 100% confident in my source.

And I'm 100% confident in the quality of your information. Thanks. And 2011 would be perfect. I know you didn't say 2011 but it's one of those adds that would be perfect for the 40th IMO.

Epcot needs to get some love... JIYI is so bad, anything would be an improvement.. Can it get worse?? LOL...

And what would the end of the new Soarin film be like if we end over WDW and not Disneyland???

Soarin v2.... rumours of this have been circling since 2005. Would WDW pay for it? Would they take it in tandem with a Tokyo version? They were going to split costs with WDSP for a while too. The latter seems to be on the back burner since the park is looking to add a dark ride instead next.

It will happen. One day. But so will a new Spirit of Norway and Impressions de France too.
