Definitely a crazy story, all over the news here. The most annoying part is hearing the spokeswoman at the news conference repeatedly say "Disneyland Security assisted with this investigation."

It's a sad situation that she pulled her daughter into. At least she chose a decent resort in the GF to be arrested at.

Not old, just vintage.
I abduct myself from NJ to Disney World every 8-10 weeks or so. I just don't call the cops to say it happened though.

This has got to be the strangest story. I knew something was up with the story but to have her found at Disney World is almost funny to me.

I live in Feasterville and this is such a strange story with many twists and turns but with many red flags from the beginning. This town is only 7 square miles and this story has consumed us for the last 24 hours.

I hope her daughter was able to spend a nice day in WDW before her life was turned upside-down. :-(

Haha, must be such a weird story for a small town. Welcome to our boards :)

I knew cutbacks were bad, but sharing security between both coasts? :lookaroun

I can not believe that anyone would really be that stupid to try to get away with doing that. I'm crazy about Disney, but not that crazy. I do hate it for her child though because she will never forget what happened. Is anyone else here wanting to hear the rest of the story?

Interesting, had not heard an update until now. The story sounded suspicious from the beginning, claiming she had been rear ended and someone abducted her daughter. Then the only description she could give was "2 black men." She clearly didn't think this through very well. I know people are dumb but why do they think they can get away with these things?

But regardless, I feel terrible for the little girl. :(

I read this story on the wire tonight while at work. One of my first thoughts was to come here and check out what others were saying.

Here's hoping the little girl gets some support through this.

And me? I'm planning to abduct myself to WDW next month, too.

If I ever decide to abduct myself (usually I just google myself for kicks!) for a Disney fix, I think I'll take myself to Tokyo or at least Paris.

The kicker is that she stole her coworker's license and withdrew $12,000 from multiple bank accounts in the past week. Doesn't exactly sound like a person who thought this all through. That kind of money should have lasted her about three days in WDW staying at the GF.

I don't want to make assumptions, but she does have a young baby at home whom she left so perhaps that pregnancy has had an effect on her mental state. The police surprisingly mentioned both domestic and financial difficulties, although they didn't seem to have anything concrete of last night.

Between the false report, identity theft, and possible embezzlement, she should be looking at some time away. Very sad story for sure.
