We are having hamburgers that are mixed with portabella mushrooms and gouda cheese on the grill and a fresh garden salad. :slurp: It is 85 and sunny here so it is a perfect night for the grill.

A request for chicken has been made, the kind is up to me. I'm thinking of baking a chicken with potatoes and onions seasoned with garlic and oregano and a dash of olive oil (we call it Nana's chicken in my family )

Spicy Shrimp & Chicken
Cream Potatoes
Fresh Corn on the Cob
Mac & Cheese (the kids love it)
Romaine Salad
How do you make the shrimp and chicken spicy?
Is it a cajun season or marinade?

Actually, we had it preseasoned at the grocery store w/ a very hot cajun spice.
Even the kids loved it!
I baked the chicken myself separately & seasoned it w/ lemon & pepper.
The shrimp was awesome! :slurp:

Oh..Okay..:)

I was curious..:)

I do miss some of the foods from the NO area.
My hubby & I lived there for about a year in the mid-90's.
Even the Popeye's chicken franchises don't serve the onion rings here anymore. I think the only place that you can get them now is in LA around NO. :(
I also miss the beniets too...Cafe' Du Monde is one of my favorite places in NO.
We are planning to visit the Aquarium & Zoo again sometime this summer.
We haven't been in the area since Hurricane Katrina.
