Dino doesn't have close to half as much to look at as Indy.
As for the attraction costs, there's been talk that WDI burns through cash like it's going out of style, and many of the costs are incredibly inflated.
Personally I think that Dinosaur has amazing themeing, it's queue is just really small, so of course the queue with more room will have more oppertunity to be more grand. Now-a-day's they just dont make a temple for the queue (probably B/C of indy and the cost of it). The longest queue since then would probably be TT, which again i thought was REALLY well done
I didn't know they went loco with the cash. maybe if they were a little more frugal they would get more, but then again the higher ups hold onto so much of it, when they get a chunk there probably SOOOO excited they dont know what to do
Pooh's Hunny Hunt at TDL cost more than $130 million apparently, but the new Monsters Inc ride there cost $88 million. I call that effective spending.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at DLR cost $30 million. I'm trying to find prices on smaller scale attractions like it but I'm not having much luck.
The Behemoth coaster at Wonderland cost $10 million to build. Considering it's huge size, I'm quite impressed with that relatively low cost.
WOW really? I've never seen it, i gotta check it out.
Yeah ive seen the costs for a lot of places stuff, and its MUCH lower than disneys, but thats b/c of the disney difference. Creating a story instead of creating a coaster
For Indy, factor in:
- R&D on the EMV. Nice chunk of change right there.
- That queue. If you haven't seen it, you wouldn't understand. No queue at WDW is it's equal.
Dino was built on the foundation that Indy. Used the same tech, same layout...just didn't do any of it quite as well.
Mission:Space. The actual number there will likely never be known. It was way high.
Everest I don't think was quite that much.
R&D?
I've seen it.....a LOT, almost 10x in 2 trips, i loved that ride THAT much. Theres only 2 rides I want from DL, the indy ride and california screamin (but only if they use the chilli peppers track, if they use that bo bo garbage its not worth the cost to bring it over here).
With Dinosaur i like what they did i just didn't think that they had the potential to create the depth. Science instute or forbidden temple?? Not all stories are created equel, but for what they have i really like it, esp the dicotomy from the front of the building, the museum like area, n then when you go backstage its a completly different animal.
Why was MS so high? Jus curious, n maybe thats why they dont have a grand scale pav complete with resturants and other D ticket attractions.
yeah, that alone could shoot Indy's price way up. Then you've got the name rights to Indy, the voice of Indiana Jones,
and it kinda makes sense that WDI burns though cash. Walt did. At least when Roy wasn't looking
yeahhh, i didnt think about harrison fords voice tender AND giving off the cash to lucas and spielburg
