The shame of never having a dole whip

I've been to WDW how many times?


.....and I have never had a dole whip


I've had the citrus swirl at the sunshine tree terrace in adventureland which was good, but nearly 4 dollars for a tiny thing of orange citrus


So where can I can I get a dole whip at the MK and should it be as ice cream or as a float?

I will get one in January and proudly take a photo of it when I do my trip report. :sohappy:

Aloha Isle located across from the tree house will be the best place. Go with the float.

I've never had one either so don't feel badly. I always thought they were bad for me (as a diabetic), but I found some things out. It is not ice cream...it's a non dairy frozen dessert, low in fat and carbs. :lol:
I plan on trying both (straight and as a float) on my next trip.

Nah, I can see why some would not like them...It's an aquired taste.

If you really like pineapple then they are a slice of heaven. Pineapple is one of my favorite flavors so naturally I love them. However, if pineapple ain't your deal or you are ho hum about it they will be nothing special.

We finally tried one after reading all the comments from the Dole Whip Lovers (DWL's).

I have to agree with the above. However, I'm not huge pineapple person. As Master Yoda said, if you like pineapple you will probably fall in love with it.

Personally, I'll stick with the ice cream cookie sandwich at Sleepy Hollow. :animwink:

DH and I tried one for the first time on our last trip home, just to see what all of the fuss was about, and we really enjoyed it. We had it as a float and I don't think we would have had it any other way.:slurp::slurp:
I think you should atleast try it for yourself....you know what they say about opinions.

I've never had one at WDW, either. :shrug: I wasn't aware they were available until last year, thanks to you guys!

BUT, I have had one at the Dole Plantation in Hawaii. :sohappy: So I feel that counts double.

Had my first one on our trip this month-very good, but be ready for something very sweet.

Also, if you like hot fudge sundaes, try one at Mrs. Potts cupboard in Fantasyland and ask for extra fudge-wow!

Anyway, don't just get the plain old Dole Whip like I did for some time...go for the ultimate!! I now get the pineapple/vanilla swirl float!!! Holy cow, that thing is the best!!!:slurp::slurp::slurp:

Like anything it's personal taste....we love pineapple and Dole floats are a must do for us everytime! Don't feel bad though, we still haven't had the Tonga Toast even though it's on our TO DO List every trip.
