When I was in Oahu earlier this month, I visited the Dole Plantation and I must say fresh from the farm was a real treat (mmm fresh Dole Whip). I looked around the store and found a cookbook but there was no recipe for the "Dole Whip" only for a sorbet.

The reason that there is no recipe for the dole whip is because it is a powdered mix. Fortunately it can be purchased by the general public. This link will not only give you a place to purchase the exact same mix used by Disney but instructions on how to make it. I have purchased the mix as well as the Cuisinart ice-45 soft serve machine featured in the article and I am here to tell you it is the real deal. There is nothing quite like being able to make real dole floats in your own kitchen.

We have a recipe to make something that is very similar in our recipe thread, but if you want the real deal then spring for the mix.
I have the smaller of the two ice cream makers listed in Master Yoda's post and it works very well.

can't we all just get along?

I have a dream that one day on the benches of adventurland the lovers of the dole whip and the lovers of the turkey leg will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even in epcot, a place on unimaginable dining diversity, a man eating school bread will be able to sit next to a woman eating a churro.

I have a dream that my children will grow up in a world where they are not persecuted for not enjoying a zebra dome but will instead be embraced because of their love for the strawberry swirl.
no way!!!!! :roflol:
