The shame of never having a dole whip

If there were a food fight between the Dole Whip Lovers and the Zebra Dome Lovers who would win?

It's the DWL's versus the ZDL's.

Pick your team colors.

Tried one for the first time on our last trip. While it was a tasty treat on a hot day, it was basically just like any other frozen treat I've had before. Definitely nothing as amazing as people make it out to be.

Can't we all just get along?

I have a dream that one day on the benches of Adventurland the lovers of the Dole Whip and the lovers of the turkey leg will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even in Epcot, a place on unimaginable dining diversity, A man eating school bread will be able to sit next to a woman eating a churro.

I have a dream that my children will grow up in a world where they are not persecuted for not enjoying a zebra dome but will instead be embraced because of their love for the strawberry swirl.

I love pineapple and ordered just the plain dole whip and it just didn't do a thing for me. I really wished I had chosen a Mickey premium bar.

I do think I will give it one more try but get the vanilla swirled with it. It just needed something else.

We tried the Dole Whip, last February and didn't care for it. I'll take that $4 and get a vanilla shake at Fountainview Cafe in Epcot instead!! :slurp:

I've never had one either so don't feel badly. I always thought they were bad for me (as a diabetic), but I found some things out. It is not ice cream...it's a non dairy frozen dessert, low in fat and carbs.
I plan on trying both (straight and as a float) on my next trip.
I can tell you personally that you won't go into shock if you have one. I guarantee.

I get the Dole Whip Float - pineapple juice with vanilla soft serve.

And it is much better if you bring your own silver spiced rum to put in it. :lookaroun

This is just the start of the numerous things I have never done at WDW

and I have to make sure to pay homage to the MerfCove as well

I've never even thought of trying one until I read about them on this forum. The whole concept doesn't even arouse a sense of morbid curiosity for me. Root beer float, cola float, rubber ducky float, Macy's parade float; I get them all. Pineapple juice float- just seems strange.

I have never had a dole whip, turkey leg (they really gross me out :hurl:) or a Mickey Ice Cream bar . Never tempted, maybe never will be.

I can not pass up mini corn dogs at Caseys or a cookie from the bakery :slurp:. I especially love the Mickey cheddar cheese crackers :slurp: :slurp: and buy them by the bags full for the trip home and to have around when I miss the world. I have had a hard time finding them lately, this year I only found them at the Emporium on Main Street. In the past I have found them at all the resorts, not so this year.

There ya go. Thats how I feel about them.

I DO like pineapple. A Dole whip tastes more of sugar, corn syrup, dextrose, and thickner than it does fresh pineapple. It is akin to raving about the raspberry flavor in a blue raspberry sno-cone.

They are OK, I dont find them offensive. I just would not go out of my way for them,
