refillable mugs

hi all just a quick one can you buy refillable mugs in all the resorts we are returning sept 09 and have only stayed at the all star movies but was thinking of staying somewere else this visit and just wonder if the mugs available everywere

There available at all disney property resorts! I highly reccomend them! Great value on drinks at the resorts and a great suviener to take home! Unfortunataly i think i read somewhere that the designs are generic for all resorts now :( correct me if im wrong!

Yes all the mugs have the same design, this year was the disney characters in the year of a million dreams theme, blue and gray colorings. They cost around 12 dollars but are good for free drinks throughout your stay, I think they are an excellent deal.

So basically, they're exactly the same as last year's? Except for the year of course.

I was hoping they would make them a different color or put the characters in different spots...anything to make them distinct from last year's.

Mugs

You can refill your mug with the drinks offered in the drink station. They have Hi-C as a juice choice also powerade and lemonade as non soda choices but that's it. If you want apple or orange juice for example you would have to purchase it separately.

Also hot chocolate and coke icees (blueberry too I think) and other non-soda beverages. My favourite is the minute maid lemonade which is low in calories but tasty just the same. :slurp:

And the really horrible brown stuff they call coffee can go in the mugs too. I think they only have the icees at Pop Century, but they're awesome.

I dont recommend them if your staying at club level because you already get free drinks coke but of course you get way more then a can of soda with the Mug but we always stay get a Garden View

Are the mugs only usable in the resorts or can you use them at the parks too? I was there in December and did not get them, glad I did not because we never spent much at the resorts. I suppose summertime I could see spending more time at the pool and needing to stay hydrated. Our eatings at POFQ were so quick we tossed most of beverages. Does the value of the dining plan outweigh the benefit of buying mugs?

In my case the mug isn't a good value. I don't drink sodas, powerade, icees, hi-c, lemonade, hot cocoa, etc. The Nescafe coffee is totally ick so I brew my own that I bring from home in my room. I also bring the disposable cups with lids so I can carry it out with me. Aside from my morning coffee I drink Dasani. That's pretty much it. Hubby & kids sure get their quarter's worth on the sodas tho. I'm just not a soda person. :animwink:

You can only use them in the resort. We were on the dining plan last time and got mugs, and we'll do it again in May. My husband can drink a lot of diet soda! We ate breakfast at the WL quick service most mornings, so we would get something to drink then, rinse out the mugs, then refill them upon return. We also liked being ale to get later at night that wasn't from vending. We probably will only get two for us adults and not for the young ones. I think it's just personal preference.

And just my two cents - I hate that the mugs are no longer resort specific. I have an old one from CBR and one from two years ago at WL. It was just kind of a nice souviner of whatever resort.

Yes, you can purchase them at any of the resorts.

helo....
so a quick question...if the cups are now the same in all resorts, does this mean that as we are staying in 4 different resorts during our 12 night adventure...i can use the cup that i buy in the first resort at all the others without any problem ?..i use my cups all the time at home and was looking forward to getting a new one specifically from grand floridian where we start oyr holiday...
