refillable mugs

hi all just a quick one can you buy refillable mugs in all the resorts we are returning sept 09 and have only stayed at the all star movies but was thinking of staying somewere else this visit and just wonder if the mugs available everywere

so a quick question...if the cups are now the same in all resorts, does this mean that as we are staying in 4 different resorts during our 12 night adventure...i can use the cup that i buy in the first resort at all the others without any problem ?..i use my cups all the time at home and was looking forward to getting a new one specifically from grand floridian where we start oyr holiday...

You're technically not allowed to do that, but it'd be impossible for them to know where you bought the mug.
I hate that the mugs aren't resort specific anymore too, they were a great souvenir.

Me too! I had been collecting them from each resort. I was really hoping that they might have gone back to resort specific by our October trip, but now with the million dreams having been extended, I don't think that will happen.

Meh it's not like everybody just brings back their old mugs from past trips like I do. It's easy, convienient and saves me $12...Frozen cokes here I come!!

I'm planning on doing the same. Last year, when I bought my mug, I specifically asked two CMs if we are allowed to bring them back and use them on any future trips and both answered in the affirmative. And other posters here have said that other CMs have told them the same thing. So I believe it logical to conclude that they are told by their supervisors to tell guests that this is allowed.

On the subject of mugs, you never know what you might find in antique stores. We were in one last night and I picked up VHS copies of "The Lion King", "Fantasia" and "Snow White"...none of which have I seen nor own on DVD. In addition, I picked up an old All Star Resorts souvenier mug from WDW.

Actually last year when they were first introduced, a CM at Pop Century told me that that is one of the reasons that they were changed, so that you can use them at any resort.

Does anyone have a picture of the 2008 mugs. I'll be going to POP in October and I plan to buy them, but I'd like to know how different they will be from last year's mugs. At least a different colour....

If you have the blue/white/silver mug from 2007, the only thing that was different on them is they don't say the year on them. When I was at AS:Movies the first few days of January, there were mugs that said 2007 & ones that didnt have any year on them. Under Minnie & Mickey was just blank. I don't know, they might say the year on them now.

I have 2 from last September that are marked 2007. If they're differentiated by year, but not by resort, to me that means they don't care if you use them at any resort, but they don't want you bringing them back forever.

They look exactly like last year but no year on them at all. Someone in another post said that the handle color had changed but that is not correct - last year I saw blue, silver and black handles and the same this year.

I have the blue/silver one from last year with 2007 on it but I was hoping for something different for this year. Perhaps they will come up with something else by the fall. I had thought that they would be able to switch the designs more often since they are the same throughout the property. :shrug:
