Oh, try The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Very philosophical and very cool. Kind of sad.

Alrighty... I must prepare for Idol.
Toodleloo!
My favorite book ever is John Irving's A Prayer for Owen Meany.
I am not a John Irving fan otherwise, but oh that book!
It deals with faith and fate and is a wonderful story!
Two very interesting subjects.
So? We've got Canadian Idol... hosted by the son of a former Canadian PM... and I personally know one of last season's finalists. :lookaroun AND we always "steal" the American shows and broadcast it as our own!
"American Idol... ONLY on CTV."
TTFN
Indeed.
Irving can be annoying, but he tells this story well.
I loved Owen from the first page.
The movie Simon Burch which was out a few years back, was loosely based on the book. I didn't see the movie because I thought it would probably take away from the story for me. I want to remember it as I read it.
I haven't heard of the book or the movie :lookaroun
I think you'd like the book.
Not so much the movie.
But I thought you didn't see the movie.
Right.
I didn't.
But I remember reading reviews that stated it wasn't true enough to the book. That would ruin it for me. I think it would be a hard book to make into a movie. Maybe they shouldn't have tried.
Ooooohkay. I see what you mean.
After reading Flowers for Algernon, I really want to see the movie Charly.
I remember liking that movie when I saw it. . .many moons ago!
Yeah, 1968. That was like the Ice Age...
