Define “additions”
Sorry, changes, fixes, updates, rethemes etc. I don't think any new building gets done with a very low low chance the speedway goes away.
Define “additions”
E-Ticket dark ride, coaster (here using the new multi launch spiderman coaster as example), plus at least one "spinner", dining, retail, ECT can all fit no issue
Just need to make sure the show building isn't made of straw. There is fireworks fallout to consider if you go behind small world building. I don’t think Villians will include that area but naturally nobody knows at this time.
From what I’ve read here, Cars & Villains is indeed the 14 acres within the ROA plot. But 14 acres ain’t no small spit of land. Depending on how the lay things out, it could work quite well but we will have to wait and see. The “Beyond” project that was teased refers to a different plot of expansion land that is more Northwest of BTMRR. Nothing has been confirmed for that, only teased before the switched up the location and IP to ROA. So for now it’s just construction within the ROA area, which still is quite big. I think the hope is that Disney is a bit more conscious of the land use and makes use of the space better than something like TSL which wastes a lot of space IMHO.I'm still so confused by all this. I'm surprised there still doesn't seem to a consensus on the approximate total size of the Cars and Villains development. If the RoA area is about 14 acres and it's the only space being used, that would make Villains quite small (even if Cars is only 3-4 acres). But if they're using space beyond the railroad tracks / "berm," Villains could be quite large. The former seems to be where insiders/experts are pointing, but the latter aligns with Disney's description of the scale. Perhaps only show buildings will be outside the railroad tracks?
Apologies if I missed a definitive analysis of this someplace.
If it’s entirely indoors and has an appropriate roof shouldn’t be much of an issue. There is fireworks fallout to consider if you go behind small world building. I don’t think Villians will include that area but naturally nobody knows at this time.
I don’t think it’s that easy.If it’s entirely indoors and has an appropriate roof shouldn’t be much of an issue.
If the guest entrance and exit are outside the safety area You could still operate. The key is that first part, which is more difficult then it appears.I don’t think it’s that easy.
Villains Land is the Beyond Big Thunder project they have been alluding to for years. From what I’ve read here, Cars & Villains is indeed the 14 acres within the ROA plot. How will Disney ever respond to Universal's smaller land with a bigger plot of land? The world may never know </3I have no doubt the expected attractions can fit in a relatively small footprint. The question is whether that footprint allows for “a grand scale that only Disney can deliver” and the presumptive centerpiece of Disney’s response to EU, etc.
That said, a compelling land can absolutely be built in a relatively small footprint. Yet another example is Mysterious Island at DisneySea. We just have to temper any size expectations derived from Disney’s claims about “grand scale.”
It kind of is. The giant show buildings at Epic Universe are designed not just for fallout but pyrotechnic launches.I don’t think it’s that easy.
does epic use 8” shells and are these buildings within the fallout of those shells and do the attractions stay open during the show that uses them?It kind of is. The giant show buildings at Epic Universe are designed not just for fallout but pyrotechnic launches.
I'm hoping they do...it's one thing to but a giant showbuilding building on "barely suitable" land...another thing to put a new fireworks station. There is fireworks fallout to consider if you go behind small world building. I don’t think Villians will include that area but naturally nobody knows at this time.
As long as they don't cover it in plastic plants....Just need to make sure the show building isn't made of straw.
It's not about Dark Universe. Once again, the point is that Disney has repeatedly emphasized their available land and potential for massive scale, and insinuated that it's one of their differentiators from Universal. In particular, this land was described as involving "a grand scale that only Disney can deliver."How will Disney ever respond to Universal's smaller land with a bigger plot of land? The world may never know </3
They’re not doing regular shows right now, but they were designed for keeping everything open.does epic use 8” shells and are these buildings within the fallout of those shells and do the attractions stay open during the show that uses them?
Which is great - but that doesn’t necessarily tell us anything about the fallout zone for Villians - since they use large shells at MK.They’re not doing regular shows right now, but they were designed for keeping everything open.
No, Villains is part of the ROA project, which is a different part of the park than the potential Beyond areaVillains Land is the Beyond Big Thunder project they have been alluding to for years.
I would pose the same question regarding Disney's perceived need to replace existing areas when they have twice as much land as Manhattan. How will Disney ever respond to Universal's smaller land with a bigger plot of land? The world may never know </3
It is an issue with readily available solutions.Which is great - but that doesn’t necessarily tell us anything about the fallout zone for Villians - since they use large shells at MK.
I’m not an expert on this -but I know it’s a potential issue.
