Marvel's Fantastic Four

What qualifies one as a “real fan” these days? I am happy with the majority of the cast for Fantastic Four, but I’m not sure on Pascal as Reed. I’m sure he will do a good job in the role, but he wasn’t my first choice for the role (I’m not a casting director so I don’t have a say in the matter).

Yep, like I was saying earlier the cast is okay. Not perfect, but you can't always get everything. They just have to stick to the source and not "Snow White" it and it could be great.

I'm just hoping that the things I've been reading and hearing aren't true. That they want to make Sue Storm the leader and smartest person in the world, instead of Reed Richards. It sounds like something Marvel would do though. Since not only was Dr. Strange a 3rd wheel in his own movie, but Blade was rumored to be the 4th wheel in his own movie.

Um, Actually… *pushes spectacles up nose while sniffling*
If you're referring to the Wolfman/Byrne cartoon which was his first actual introduction, Lee and Kirby were at least involved in that I believe as Kirby drew up the storyboards for it as I recall, so still technically correct even if this was just a joke.

Even Brie Larson got shafted with her movie, by saddling her with Miss Marvel and Photon. And perhaps the worst Marvel villain ever. It could have had a better story and better side characters she could feed off of.

I hope they give Sue a traditional role, like, not being able to vote.

I wonder why they went with this type of voice for The Thing. It sounds too ordinary, like Vinny down the street who owns the pizza shop. You'd expect something more gravelly. You know??? Rough sounding!

Because he’s not like The Hulk, he’s not a rock man/rock monster, he’s a man who’s stuck in the body of a rock who still has his blue eyes and human voice to make him a man at heart who’s a gentle giant that feels like an outcast now that he lost his human form.

What do rock monsters sound like in real life? I’ve never heard one. I wish they would have gone with a comics accurate voice!!!!

Fantastic Four has had at least 5 different movies and various cartoons already. If you don't know what The Thing sounds like than you should do your homework. Instead of making a comment that makes you look bad.

This movie is not based on any previous movies or tv shows. It is based on a comic book that last I checked wasn’t voice acted.

And all have sounded different with their own variation on the voice, they haven't all sounded gravely.

So the poster is right, there isn't one way for a human turned into a rock to sound, as there isn't a real life basis to go from. So it open to whatever the filmmakers and actors want to do with it.

Oh, I was definitely thinking when I posted.

I think Ben’s voice is perfect as it reminds us that he is still human beneath his rocky exterior. Is it possible that they change his voice in post-production? Absolutely, but if Marvel doesn’t, I’m not going to complain.

Yeah, it looks really good.

I like the way the characters look and the aesthetics of the retro city. It's a better trailer than the first one, because we get to see them in action.

Man the Human Torch looks like Robert Downey Junior Junior in this one!
