Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*

Sad thing is we know all of these useless characters survive since they have chairs in the Avengers Dooms Day video.
They may, like RDJ, be playing an alternate universe version of themselves. So, survival in the movie is not so self assured.

I understand being frustrated about the roster of the Thunderbolts team in the movie compared to the comics. The first run of the Thunderbolts comics and the twist it had was one of my favorite comic books back in the mid to late 90s, and I would have loved to see a theatrical version of it. I don’t know how they could have pulled it off, though, as the Masters of Evil have not been introduced in the MCU. I am happy with the team that we are getting in the movie and the trailers have more than sold me on the movie. At this point, no one knows if it is going to be a box office success, but with the positive reactions from the test screenings and lack of production issues (a la Brave New World), I think Thunderbolts can be successful.

I’m pretty excited for this one, and so are all of my coworkers. It feels like a fun escape from what’s going on right now.

We usually do semi-annual staff parties at bowling alleys or mini golf, etc. but since everybody wants to see it, we’re having a first-ever all-staff movie trip after work.

Our staff range in age from 19-64 and consist of 4 middle-aged straight white people, and everybody else is a minority.

So I think this is going to be pretty popular across the board.

Edit- there are 14 people on staff, if that helps, though there are 6-10 former employees that usually come to staff parties, and everyone usually brings their significant other and kids, if they’re old enough. It’s usually 30-40 people.

I don't know why Marvel would release this. This company's decision making has been horrible. This says D+ all over it. An okay, kinda fun movie at home while in your pajamas or snuggie.

The fun part will be seeing who they are going to blame for this one. Disney likes to pass the buck on everything. They can never own upto their own mistakes. It was Covid, then Bigots, then Bigots again, then superhero fatigue (which doesn't exist) (ex. Spiderman and Deadpool) and oh yeah bigots again.

Nope... it's just bad stuff that people don't want to watch. Simple as that.
This film will do well both critically and box office

I think a Midnight Sons movie would have done better than this one. If you gave them each their own movie or TV series ahead of time. You could choose any of these and it would have been awesome.

Blade, Ghost Rider, Wolverine, The Punisher, Dr. Strange, Scarlet Witch, Daredevil, Morbius, Man-Thing and Werewolf by Night. You could even go with the Franken Castle version of The Punisher.
I don't see how this is any different than what Marvel is already doing with this movie. Its still a bunch of mostly unknown or lesser known characters from movies or tv shows.

It sounds more like you just don't like this roster of characters being used rather than it being an issue with the idea, since your idea is exactly the same but with different characters.
