Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts*

In this case though I really don't think any of the events of Cap4 (at least not in a major sense) is going to be required for Thunderbolts. Even if I would say watch it anyways just because its a good watch in my opinion, but I don't think you're going to miss out if you decide to go see Thunderbolts in theaters without seeing Cap4 first.

Yeah, in this particular case, I wouldn't expect it to be much of an issue. That said, they made their bed with fans by a) driving how important it is to see everything to follow what's going on and b) by choosing not to release the previous film(s) to streaming timely. It's the principle of it and I don't need to support the behavior with my consumer $$.

That said, this is the first film in a long time that could tempt me out to see it in theaters because it just calls me as super fun. But odds are I'll stream everything until we get to the big Avengers movies. Those are ones I won't want spoilered and will much more strongly feel the need to see in theater opening weekend.

What do you consider timely when it comes to putting their movies to streaming? And I assume you mean for free like on D+ rather than just digital.

Yes, the previous film should be on Disney+ by the weekend before the next one comes out. That's enough time for anyone who wants to catch up to do so.

Well with them averaging 90-120 days from theatrical to it going on D+, I’d say that is right within that mark. So not sure why you say that’s not timely.

Moana 2 is finally coming to D+ this week after being in theaters for a seemingly long time. Currently you can’t even rent it on ITunes. Only buy it for $20

It'll have been in theaters 105 days from release to being put on D+, which is right in that 90-120 average.
