You, Chi, Disney Irish, Tony and others constantly think you can gang up on people here and disrespect them just because you don't like their opinions.

I'm done with this game, find someone else to harass.
No one is ganging up on anyone or disrespecting anyone’s opinion. It’s a discussion forum and people are discussing what you and others post.

So are any of the posters you mentioned supposed to feel disrespected and ganged up on when you and others disagree with us? See how that works, this can be turned right back on you. So maybe realize no one is actually doing any of that.

If you want a place where you can just post your thoughts without anyone commenting on them either find place where comments are turned off or there are 100s of blog site out there where you can post all your thoughts unchallenged to your hearts content.

Someone wrote elsewhere that they watched Anora on Hulu and the intro ad said something along the lines of it being brought to them courtesy of Snow White.

So they're using a p*rnographic film to promote Bob Iger's Snow White. Something that would have been wild to hear about 10 years ago.

If you enjoyed Anora, make sure to go and check Snow White.

It's early but are you saying that Anora is a p*rnographic film??

Disney’s live-action remake of ‘Snow White’ hit theaters recently, and it’s stirring up some chatter. This isn’t just another retelling of the classic tale—it’s made history, but not in the way the studio might have hoped. Audiences gave it a B+ on CinemaScore, which tracks how moviegoers feel right after watching. That’s a decent mark for most films, but for Disney’s track record with live-action remakes, it stands out as the lowest ever.

So it’ll have shorter legs than most of the LA remakes.

So is Bob Iger's Snow White going to be a flop? Because people here constantly made sure to tell everyone that it would be a huge success, better than The Little Mermaid because most people don't follow the controversies and because they hate the original 1937 film.

Where did people predict that SW was going to be a huge success?? I don’t think anyone has said that. And still trying to get a response from you about Anora.

Oooof ... they couldn't even get Vox to pretend it was good.

I didn’t intend to disrespect you. I don’t take this as seriously as some others and I know that can come off as being flippant or dismissive but it’s not meant as disrespect.

I’m confused. Nowhere in any of those comments did I say the film was going to be a great success. My take was that if it failed, it wouldn’t be because of the pre-release publicity.

There are several comments saying that the original was too outdated and problematic to support a live-action remake.

OK, those are great quotes but when are you going to show me where someone predicts that it’s going to be a success because none of those did.

“Snow White received a B+ CinemaScore, which is extremely low grade for this type of Disney genre, for even the middling ones, i.e. Dumbo (A-), Mufasa (A-), Pete’s Dragon (A), and the Maleficent franchise (both As) have top grades with audiences. A fairest grade resides in the Rotten Tomatoes score of 71% for Snow White which is better than Dumbo (47%), and not far from Maleficent (70%) and Cinderella (78%). “

The same article has this to say about another release this weekend that was going to be through Disney/Searchlight at one point:

"Briarcliff Entertainment’s recue of Jonathan Majors 2023 Sundance darling Magazine Dreams in which he played a brooding boxer* (far too close to his own real life) did $340K on Friday, for what’s looking like a $755K opening at 815 sites. I hear ticket sales were OK in NY, LA, Atlanta, Chicago and DC and that’s it. Critics always liked the movie at 81% on RT, but audiences at 91% respected it as well. You’ll remember Searchlight bought the movie after Sundance in what was a potential awards season play but following the Majors’ scandal with his girlfriend, they unloaded the movie."

*He plays a competitive bodybuilder in the movie. A bit of poor writing on Deadline's part
