Julie (the younger) does Thanksgiving! Amy (the elder) does Christmas Eve! Everyone but me stays home on Christmas. I, on the other hand, do a "eat, give and get" at both. Long day and without a doubt create a very strong don't get anywhere near a weight scale any time soon.I hope you have a nice Thanksgiving tomorrow. (Not sure which one of your daughters has Thanksgiving duty, but I know that they both trade off the 2 last holidays of the year.) Enjoy your visit with them and the kids, and eat hearty!
she never knows that I just called her elder. Also just for an idea what "eat, give and get" is made up of, I eat and give more than I should and the get part is somewhat disappointing.

Christmas isn't about getting, but it all seems way too lopsided.

Long suffering, underappreciated parent.

In spite of how it seems, I really feel blessed to be around this long and still have both of them talking to me. Nothing short of a miracle!
