Well when it was heading into an abandoned soundstage years ago, it sounded good. When it was heading into Animation Courtyard, it still sounded good. Heading into Muppets? Not sounding so good.

DHS Monster Inc Land Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios

Yep. I'm just tired of attraction replacements. I understand DHS is a bit tougher to fit things in but, come on now. I think DHS has actually reverted itself to being a half day park for me over the past few years.

I’m shocked it was ever included in Extended Evening Hours. Seems like its closed an hour or two before the rest of the park for as long as I can remember

I believe rise of the resistance is also not included in extended evening hours. I don't think this means anything.
I agree. I loved Hide and Go Seek in Tokyo. If they gamified it that would actually be an enhancement.

What was this? Man, I don't read a thread for a week and I miss all the excitement lol
The notable point is that Muppets was included in the list for 2023, included in the list released by Disney last week for 2024, and today it was removed.
Rise of the Resistance was not in the original list, nor was it in the event last year.

You could make the argument that adding ROTR would both (1) cut into LLSP sales; and (2) reduce maintenance time/increase downtime.

Yeah but construction on Monsters Inc. Isn't supposed to start until next year. So why would removing it from extended evening hours now make any difference to their decision of closing it next year? Honestly, I think the truth is that Disney themselves doesn't know where this is going.
As I said in the article, it may be unrelated. But timing is certainly very interesting, and it is a notable change.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Tron is included in extended even hours at Magic Kingdom. Couldn't you make the same argument there?

If unrelated, the only thing I can think of is that the show requires a CM to portray Sweetums. Lack of CM availability or cost-cutting measure? But I agree it is very bad timing and you can't help but think about the show's potential removal.
