meanwhile we could have had that lion king dark ride,,,,, but oh no lets change dinosaurs into preschool zootopia, they treat these parks now like its hong kong disneyland and its the wrong direction.
I'm not sure why you're saying Zootopia is for preschoolers when Lion King literally has a preschool age show lmaomeanwhile we could have had that lion king dark ride,,,,, but oh no lets change dinosaurs into preschool zootopia, they treat these parks now like its hong kong disneyland and its the wrong direction.
Mindblowing that Disney has two franchises (Lion King and Jungle Book) where the characters are actual animals that live in the wild and face animal problems, but they decide to go with Moana and Zootopia in Animal Kingdom.I'm not sure why you're saying Zootopia is for preschoolers when Lion King literally has a preschool age show lmao
I do agree that Lion King would fit AK better though.
I'd say recency bias but Jungle Book & Lion King just proved they're still popular with the remakes making a billion dollars each. Now I don't want rides based on the remakes obviously (I'll take Moana & Zootopia before that), but their success proves the originals are still beloved.Mindblowing that Disney has two franchises (Lion King and Jungle Book) where the characters are actual animals that live in the wild and face animal problems, but they decide to go with Moana and Zootopia in Animal Kingdom.
Absolutely mind blowing. As well as tarzan. Think gorilla s belong in Animal Kingdom and it has a killer soundtrack. Think a very slow moving water ride tied to Bambi would be popular amongst the very little ones. Absolutely like Moana but she has her (missed kind of ride) shot in Epcot.Mindblowing that Disney has two franchises (Lion King and Jungle Book) where the characters are actual animals that live in the wild and face animal problems, but they decide to go with Moana and Zootopia in Animal Kingdom.
The live action Jungle Book was IMHO superior to the classic cartoon and the imagery would fit better with DAK. So I’d argue they should use the live action TJB in DAK for an attraction.I'd say recency bias but Jungle Book & Lion King just proved they're still popular with the remakes making a billion dollars each. But FoP is already in Animal Kingdom…This just occurred to me. Maui can turn into any kind of animal. It could be a great gimmick for a ride to explore different animal environments and ecosystems. Soarin’ or FoP style perhaps.
It annoys me to this day that they couldn't even finish Everest enough to prevent light leakage into the interior during the backwards part. Its like they built the Matterhorn as it was in 1957.I personally don't like any of those over Everest, the Safari & Flights of Passage. & for me, what AK lacks in ride it makes up for in theming, other things to do (animal watching & shows) & food.
USF is a food desert outside of Diagon Alley... & maybe the Minion Cafe, that actually looks good but I haven't been to it yet.
I want to make it clear right at the top that I am NOT in favor of a Dinosaur retheme.
However…
I think they could reskin it to a Moana ride fairly easily. Make it a nighttime ride on Moana’s boat through stormy seas. You could have scary encounters with Tamatoa and Te Ka. Finally use that Grandma Storylight they never got to cram into Spaceship Earth. Maybe Maui transforms into a dinosaur, just as a nod to what was there.
Didn't you read the post on page 42? What's being developed will only be for Annual Passholders.Just seeking clarification as this has now reached 167 pages - is there anything actually concrete or is it just posters hoping and playing 'imagineering' ???
Will there be picnic tables?Didn't you read the post on page 42? What's being developed will only be for Annual Passholders.
No, they will all have to eat their brought-from-home meals at tables throughout the park. There may be a reservations system put into place so they can have spots at various QS places so regular park guests don't hog the tables. Will there be picnic tables?

You’re absolutely right. I didn’t even consider that. The Maui thing just struck me as a way to actually make the IP fit the park. I’m not really pitching anything. But FoP is already in Animal Kingdom…
Mostly arguing over Zootopia, I think. Although I did miss a bunch of pages in the middle.Just seeking clarification as this has now reached 167 pages - is there anything actually concrete or is it just posters hoping and playing 'imagineering' ???
Yeah, you'd think they'd be pushing for Moana to have a presence in Magic Kingdom since all of the other princesses are in that park. Especially since they have want to do something with MK next.If anything, they should be putting Moana into Adventureland.
And since 90% of Adventureland is based on tropical environments....

Bye bye.
And maybe get rid of the Swiss Family Treehouse for a Moana boat ride.
Pirates was an addition.Yeah, you'd think they'd be pushing for Moana to have a presence in Magic Kingdom since all of the other princesses are in that park. Especially since they have want to do something with MK next.
I think MK's Adventureland is one of the lands that most needs an update. I'm pretty sure the only addition it's ever gotten is the stupid Dumbo carpets ride.
Ah, I forgot about that. That's still a pretty old addition though.Pirates was an addition.
MK is due for an actual expansion north of Big Thunder.
