Yeah, you'd think they'd be pushing for Moana to have a presence in Magic Kingdom since all of the other princesses are in that park. Especially since they have want to do something with MK next.

I think MK's Adventureland is one of the lands that most needs an update. I'm pretty sure the only addition it's ever gotten is the stupid Dumbo carpets ride.

Does feel like a lot of stuff they want to add (IP/princesses) would fit best in Fantasyland - Moana, Tiana, Encanto, etc ....

And after seeing the latest for the expansion at Disney Sea makes me realize even more how the theme and design of that park is so genius as it is basically an entire park of Fantasyland

Jurassic Park River Adventure is really falling apart as well… which is sad, because Dinosaur and River Adventure are my two favorite rides at their respective parks. River Adventure still has a bunch of construction walls surrounding the animatronic in the first scene, and hadrosaurs that don’t come out of the water (there are also more broken AAs that are less integral to the ride). If Jurassic Park River Adventure had the sheer number of animatronics that Dinosaur has going for it, it would easily be one of the best theme park rides ever IMO. Sadly, River Adventure will likely be rethemed, like Dinosaur, as most rides that are neglected by Universal do. I like the Jurassic World version, but I prefer real sets to screens any day. The same will be true when they retheme Dinosaur. The beautiful AAs will be replaced with projectors with little to no maintenance cost or downtime. 😭
If I recall correctly, the screens only replaced sets and animatronics in the first scene, which primarily functioned to hide the parking garage from the ride. I was slightly bitter about the Mosasaurus scene before riding it, but it’s very impressive in person.

As for the rest of the ride, there’s definitely a net positive addition of sets and animatronics across the attraction. It’s a huge upgrade and one I hope comes to Orlando.

Nah, I think Adventureland is the best place for Moana. Her tropical theming would work perfectly there & the movie itself is an adventure movie.

Definitely can see that, especially with a more reimagined version of the land (and if Pirates gets annexed into a new New Orleans squarish area)

I always associate Adventureland with Walt's True Life adventure series so more based in more of reality (though of a certain time and from a specific point of view), but it can definitely evolve to a boarder view

That’s what many people don’t understand on here. No matter how much they add to other parks, MK still has a capacity problem.

They need to expand MK and reopen shuttered dining locations & attractions.
yeah, unless the 5th gate is a 2nd Magic Kingdom, they need to continually add capacity room to the existing MK

I do hope if they do the Beyond Big Thunder part of that is crowd management including during the fireworks so they are able to spread out those crowds

A fifth gate is not happening in the next 10 - 15 years. If even the next 20....

With the continued increase of projection mapping and the emphasis of being in front of the Castle, this will not solve crowding issues.

All 4 WDW parks have needed updating and expanding for 20 years now and what they've done in the last 10 has barely fixed that, despite how many billions have been spent.

Pouring more money into bad ideas and dragging out construction timelines will not fix this either.

Beyond Big Thunder is not a bad idea. Dragging out construction and the Moana/Zootopia expansion happening as rumored is a mistake.

They can easily solve this by adding projection mapping to some of the iconic structures that could be built beyond a big thunder mountain. For example, you could project onto the Encanto house that may or may not be built. It's not like this is an unprecedented idea as they already do this at Disneyland at the rivers of America and it's a small world.

I think it would be interesting if in the Villains area they build like an evil Castle (like Malificent's castle or something) and then project it in that castle as well (angle the castle so fireworks look appropriate) .... mayb add some extra audio like the villains booing when the heros win, etc

Yeah I agree but it would be a little weird to have the climax of happily ever after happening on a villain castle lol.
