EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Muppets in HoP over this any day. Figment deserves his own attraction that holds up. Disney has seen the value in the character from the popcorn bucket, and centering the 40th anniversary around him. There’s a reason he’s getting a fancy new meet and greet, so I’m very doubtful they’d kill his ride.

But I’m also in the camp that the current version isn’t even *that* bad. Sure it’s not what it was, but there are plenty of attractions (in Epcot no less) that need the help much more than Figment.

MuppetsVision 3D coming to Epcot confirmed 😉
Muppet Vision 3D in the Magic Eye Theatre alongside a ride where Honeydew and Beaker "create" imagination and incorporate Figment... Maybe even make Dreamfinder a new Muppet as well. A "special guest" in Muppets Lab. Make it a Muppet Lab pavilion with the Beaker/Honeydew animatronic meet and greet permanent.

It's no surprise they are owned by the Disney parks products and experiences branch and not the main side of the company anymore..

Keep the Muppets at DHS...expand their area there and make it more engaging...add an additional attraction, but DON"T bring them over to the Imagination pavilion...leave them where they make sense within the narrative of the park.
There has been way too much muddling between the parks... They should allow each park to have it's own identity and stop making everything homogenous...4 parks, 4 unique experiences....

Too late! They've already infiltrated the American Pavilion. Sam Eagle has a restaurant that is a salute to all cuisines but mostly barbeque.

Understood, but not a reason to now double down on it and ruin existing attractions by shoehorning them in...I like the Muppets...but I feel like they fit nicely at the studios...add more to the Muppet Studios section of that park...Make it more than a 30 year old 3-D Movie...and the worst pizza in the Southeast.

Kind of like when they were on the outside of HoP..Take the idea and bring it to Grand Ave area

I think there is enough room for Indiana Jones without the Muppets...and you will have Star Tours in the middle of your Indiana Joes Land if you access Muppets area as part of it. Star Tours should have been rebuilt as part of the new Galaxy's Edge with it's exit leaving you in the land and the entrance outside of the tunnel...

Technically if you took out Backlot Express and expanded the boundaries of the park a bit you could wrap around Star Tours to keep the land continuous.

I still think the Echo Lake area should be transformed into 1930s Shanghai from Temple of Doom, with the end of Commissary Lane where they currently have the Olaf meet-and-greet and Mickey & Minnie animated short becoming Club Obi Wan, complete with a nightclub show with Willie. This then connects it nominally to Star Tours, and you could rework Grand Avenue to be something else Star Wars from outside the time period of Galaxy's Edge more in line with the behind-the-scenes feel of Tours, also creating space to move the classic Star Wars meet-and-greets away from the opposite side of the park. Muppets should just be relocated, and an additional Indy attraction should be slotted in wherever they can fit it near the stunt show.

I think Muppet labs would be a better fit in Epcot than literally any new addition in the recent attraction line-up.

Not that I think they're considering it, but the queue for Rise of the Resistance is kind of in the way of anything wrapping behind MuppetVision like that. To connect to Galaxy's Edge they'd either have to reroute the RotR queue - unlikely - or wrap all the way behind the Rise of the Resistance showbuilding itself - even more unlikely.

Stuff like this drives me crazy - with just a little more thought they could have built Star Wars Land in a way that included Star Tours rather than leaving it floating on an island one land over. It just reeks of bad planning.

Removing Muppet Vision 3-D, effectively ending the muppets presence in DHS and also ending Magic Eye as a concept make both parks weaker.
Replacing the short film festival with a figment popcorn bucket stand would be an improvement.
Barring just bringing back Captain EO, I’ve thought they should put a film about the history of Imagineering or history of Epcot Imagineering specifically.
Why? You can watch that on YouTube.
I don’t like the Film Festival but I would rather have that for 10 more years than try and shoehorn in the muppets.
I'd much rather have muppet Vision move over there than have the film festival.
There’s a lot of great ideas for Muppets in the parks…and this ain’t one of em!
Yes it is. (see how that works? Opinions are opinions. Lol)

I think that's in part due to most people feeling like Disney has severely underutilized The Muppets, which is something I can agree with 100%. I don't think it's a fit to replace Figment, but compared to other IPs I've seen thrown around for the pavilion..... it's not THAT bad. Still below "just give Figment and Dreamfinder a ride" though.
For me, there is something about the self-aware but not obnoxious sense of humour of The Muppets that lends itself to the parks and a variety of scenarios such as the excellent Liberty Square history shows. They also just don't feel like a franchise being shoved down your throat at every turn in the way something like Toy Story or Frozen can. Overall, I have the same feelings about preferring to stick with Figment (and maybe Dreamfinder) without another IP layered over the attraction, but Muppets would be one of the least objectionable IP integrations with Figment if they have to bring one in to re-do the pavilion.

I don't think they're generally under-utilised or neglected, though. My personal take is that Disney has tried to find a lot of vehicles to make The Muppets work and keep them relevant, and nothing has quite stuck. Considering they do already have a presence at the parks and seem to work well in that setting, I could kind of see them becoming more parks-based characters over time.

Muppets take Imagination Pavilion. Figment and Dreamfinder take plots of Monsters + Buzz in MK. Laugh Floor relocates to plot of former Muppet3D theatre along with new Door Coaster. Proposing this as an alternate armchair. If Muppets were to take over the Imagination Pavilion, the likelihood of Dreamfinder returning would be slim. By relocating Figment AND Dreamfinder to MK (blasphemous to some I'd imagine) the duo would get greater exposure with Dreamfinder going on to live another day.

Already is.

Yea

Nah..

In my opinion, Figment can only exist in Epcot. He is literally Epcot's mascot at this point. By all means, why should figment replace something at another park when there's a giant empty gold done building, or even the current building he's Already in.... At a park he already has a presence in.
