Still a little odd to me. I get the smallish walkway just to the side of that, but when you pass through that or the Light and Power bldg you aren't even exclusively in the attraction yet. There's a larger opening space after that and then even the walkway to storybook circus. Are you thinking you won't be able to walk to storybook circus or even get to see the big reveal of the Tron Attraction without passing through this point of VQ/ILL segregation?
I feel like they could easily make that walkway 5-10 feet wider, there is just a sloping concrete area between the rail and the track of the speedway. Very easy to claim back a few feet for the walkway to make it less narrow.

No
Question for anyone who has ridden Tron at another park: are you able to hold your hands up on this ride? We love to do that on coasters, but in this seated position, it does not seem like it will be possible.

They can pretty easily separate the Storybook path from the TRON path if they really want to turn Light & Power into the attraction gateway. Just rope off the section of the forecourt around the left-hand planter.

I'd rather they landscape that concrete section and just level Light & Power, but alas.

Today’s update says Light and Power will function as an entrance and exit for TRON. I knew I wasn’t crazy.

While this makes more sense than the narrow walkway, it makes the decision to keep the building instead of tearing it down even weirder.

If they were going to use it for TRON, why not actually build something smaller for the purpose that matches the TRON building rather than repurpose that waste of space?

Better than they would have siphoned them through that tiny walkway next door. I presume they will station CMs to make sure guests with appropriate passes (VQ or ILL) are allowed to enter the area. Doorways make that easier to regulate. People got VERY aggressive with CMs at RotR who were trying to keep them from sneaking in.
I (wrongly) assumed the walkway was for in and the P&L building was out.

Differentiating attractions is for losers.

Seems more and more clear that Space Mountain is doomed. Won’t be long until it closes to make way for a “reimagined” experience (opening date: TBA)
I don’t know what is going to happen, but the existing track can’t exist forever and The Money People may not be sold on spending all of that money if they can’t market something new coming into it.

They should have just waited and put Cosmic Rewind there and used the space in EPCOT for something better.

Switch the rides. Tron’s aesthetic works next to MS and TT and they could have just had a queue about the history of computers. The weaker TRON coaster would have been successful at Epcot as the only coaster and the wacky GotG would have fit into Tomorrowland well (quirky aliens engaging with humans have frequently been involved in Tomorrowland attractions). It’s a better coaster and could have easily stood its own in a park with many coasters.

Too late now…
