Differentiating attractions is for losers.

Seems more and more clear that Space Mountain is doomed. Wonā€™t be long until it closes to make way for a ā€œreimaginedā€ experience (opening date: TBA)
I donā€™t know what is going to happen, but the existing track canā€™t exist forever and The Money People may not be sold on spending all of that money if they canā€™t market something new coming into it.

They should have just waited and put Cosmic Rewind there and used the space in EPCOT for something better.

While this makes more sense than the narrow walkway, it makes the decision to keep the building instead of tearing it down even weirder.

If they were going to use it for TRON, why not actually build something smaller for the purpose that matches the TRON building rather than repurpose that waste of space?
Agreed.

Switch the rides. Tronā€™s aesthetic works next to MS and TT and they could have just had a queue about the history of computers. The weaker TRON coaster would have been successful at Epcot as the only coaster and the wacky GotG would have fit into Tomorrowland well (quirky aliens engaging with humans have frequently been involved in Tomorrowland attractions). Itā€™s a better coaster and could have easily stood its own in a park with many coasters.

Too late nowā€¦

I mean, I will not be upset if they can get Space Mountain to limp through its 50th and be gutted for a launching Omnicoaster that would open in 2028. Iā€™ll be pretty bummed if itā€™s called anything else other than Space Mountain Mission 2.

It needs to be gutted but I really hope they do what Disneyland did. Brand new tracks with the same basic layout and brand-new effects. I love our layout. We get actual drops!

Oh, I'm not really advocating to replace Space Mountain -- but if they were going to replace it, I'd rather see Cosmic Rewind there with something different at EPCOT.

I wouldn't love TRON at EPCOT either, but it would fit better than Cosmic Rewind if they included some additional pavilion activities around it relating to computers and the digital world.

Would be a terrible idea. Reimagine unpopular rides. Refurbish not rebuild.
Maybe tokyo is testing the waters first and after it opens it will come to MK? Personally I get the love for SM but the tokyo concept drawings look amazing and if they did that in MK....I would be ok with that.

Do we expect the Lightning lanes for this last 3 weeks post launch, when the non-resort window opens, or will they sell out to the resort guests. I know Rise of Resistance and Flight of Passage, are longer rides oppose to a coaster. Cosmic rewind hype seemed to die down quick. Just trying to plan out for going to Disney on Saturday 4/22, and Monday 4/24. Debating on whether it is worth it to stay on Campgrounds the night prior to just get the 7am start for Lightning Lane for whichever day we decide on MK. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Any chance they use the walled off arcade space for expansion for the gift shop? Or did they re-use that former space in some other way? Always thought it was crazy they just walled it off and pretended like it was never there.
