He blames Iger for the Fox acquisition and the promotion of Chapek.Peltz is a Wall Street powerhouse…can’t deny that.
Someone smarter than me can explain his angle? I can’t see it

Problem is Peltz wanted Chapek to stay since he would've more likely been a yes man to him given his cost-cutting addiction. Chapek giving a Loeb ally a seat on the board made him think he could do the same and now Iger's return has thrown that plan in disarray. He blames Iger for the Fox acquisition and the promotion of Chapek.
Yeah…but that’s a minor nuisance thereHe blames Iger for the Fox acquisition and the promotion of Chapek.

Given Peltz successfully broke up GE he must think he can do the same for Disney. But dealing with a CEO with a successful track record is much different than dealing one without one.Unless he sees $250 stock…in which case there’s only one way to do that…

She has served 15 years and I gather there is a sunset provision, she was leaving in any caseI guess my bigger question is, why would that prompt Susan to resign? Does this spell bad news? Will Peltz be successful?
Or will this turn into nothing?
Yeah…she also was a top pawn in this Iger/chapek/Iger thingShe has served 15 years and I gather there is a sunset provision, she was leaving in any case
I can't believe it, but it feels just like 2005 Disney again!!!Ahhh…
Some of the best stories in Disney’s long, storied history involves proxy battles…
You know how got his job through a proxy fight?

Trian has formally nominated Peltz to the board.
In an effort to appear diplomatic, Trian says Peltz is willing to work with Iger and doesn't seek to replace him, despite all the news reports to the contrary.
Feels more like a train wreck nowI can't believe it, but it feels just like 2005 Disney again!!!
Interesting that ESPN nor ABC are mentioned in the release, nor is there any mention of a push for Disney spinning them off or selling them off. Here's that press release -

He's couldn't stop Feige from taking most of his positions at Marvel, so....CNBC reports Peltz is close friends with Disney mega-shareholder Ike Perlmutter who is no fan of Iger’s.

I remember it being pretty scary with Comcast aggressively trying to Buy Disney in 2005. They later settled purchasing NBC/Universal.Feels more like a train wreck now
More of a chance they get bought/broken up now than then…or 1984…in a bizarre contrarian sense
Its looking like Comcast made the right move...I remember it being pretty scary with Comcast aggressively trying to Buy Disney in 2005. They later settled purchasing NBC/Universal.
Assuming activists there don't force Brian Roberts to spin NBCUni off, of which calls have been growing for the last year or so.Its looking like Comcast made the right move...
