I wouldn't mind at all. I'll even remind ya when i'm coming back in November. But I can understand how it might cheese off some people. I think I would only dust adults who are wearing their Disney garb. The more their wearing, the more they'll appreciate it. And I dont think I would dust anyone who looks like they probably spend 2 hours doing their hair.

I would love to be pixie dusted, so would my whole family, especially with little tiny mickey heads! If someone doesn't like it, too bad. Maybe the pixie dust will make them disappear:lol:

By the way, we will be the July 7th - 18th and are a large group. The big guy in the group (Joe) will absolutely LOVE IT!

You go girl:sohappy:

I get pixi dusted at work too! I work in a craft store and people always break the glass glitter containers. The employees I work with know I love glitter, so someone always grabs a handful and sprinkles it in my hair. Little kids see this happening, and they always want some too.

I would say go for it. If someone got mad at you for it, then they shouldnt be in Disney!

Where in WDW do you work, I'd love to stop by and get dusted.

I think that is so magical what you do! Feel free to Pixie Dust me when I visit the park! If somebody gets mad, it's because they are Grumpy! LOL

Well as you all are probably aware I am a research specialist, which is fancy talk for I conduct surveys. If and only if I have time I will pixie dust the guests. I usually do this right before the parade since I can't really do surveys during the parade, but if I still have more work to do then I do that.

I usually only put the pixie dust in the hair of boys, it tends to stay in there a good while better with boys' hair. I blow pixie dust on birthday people and sprinkle anyone that looks like they won't punch me. I really love to get kids who look tired or grumpy cause they usually cheer up after that, works on most adutls too.

Yes because I look, sound, and act just like Rip Taylor :)

Now that part is truly scary

You can dust me any time...in fact, stock up, we'll be there in early October for our 25th Anniv.

While this is a great idea, do you need to run something like this past a supervisor, or is it generally supported "officially"? Just curious as to how some CM's do these extra things, or REALLY get into their roles (like at HM for example). Is it encouraged or primarily a "grass roots CM" type thing? :animwink:

Well I never asked my supervisor and quite honestly I feel I do not need to. If I were to become a supervisor or leader I would be pleased to know that one of my cast members was doing this. However, my role is not a host / hostess position meaning my purpose is more along the lines of conducting research / surveys. But that is why instead of chillin' in the breakroom all the time I do more magically, or service driven activities, during the free time I have at work. I sometimes miss being in a truly service driven role. But luckily my role does service the guests, whether they know it or not :).

If I was a CM and it was just a one-time or very occasional thing, I wouldn't mind at all. If it was a regular thing, though, then yes, it would probably get annoying. :)

What do you mean a CM doing this, a CM seeing this, or a CM getting dusted?

Anything can get old if done over and over. As I have said I only get time to do this every once in a while. And even if I di dhtis everyday there is a whole new set of guests that would experience it.

naughty, naughty Buzz ;)

You could shoot pixie dust out of a cannon at me and I'd still love it. I'd probably take some home in a popcorn bag just for the memories. :D

Donald 70

Pixie,

As for: Donald's 70th is coming up, but does he get 70 statues... of course not!

On June 6, Disneyland is releasing a LE (2000) Donald dangle pin for his 70th. Might want to get in touch with someone in CA or plan on visiting EBAY.
