Whatever we all go to The World for, be it the great restaurants, the entertainment, the weather, the great memories..... without all the amazing characters none of it would be possible :sohappy:

So what is the 1 moment with a wdw character that sticks out most in your mind??

Was it a childhood memory or an experience with a child of your own???

Cannot wait to hear about all your great times :sohappy::wave::sohappy:

Oh man, I have so many great character experiences. But I guess one of my top ones would be when Mickey "proposed" to me in front of the castle (got down on one knee and everything). It was great! And my second experience would be when I got to ride the Teacups with Alice and Mad Hatter.

Number one all time for sure is watching my wife dance with Mickey at our wedding. Don't see that one being topped, at least until we have kids.

Well, there was that time at the Garden Grill when I asked Chip if the meat on my plate came from anyone he knew. :D

But seriously, on one of my first trips to the Magic Kingdom as a child (back when the MK was all there was) Tigger took my hand and started to walk off with me. Also on the same trip, when I first saw Winnie-the-Pooh I allegedly gasped "He's real!" (I was 3 or 4, so I don't remember everything; I'm relying on what my parents have told me).

It is a toss up between two.

Having Captain Hook and Mr. Smee ride POTC with us. It was so special because it was our kid's first trip to WDW and before the trip my son, who was four at the time, told me the character he was most excited about meeting was Mr. Smee. Ooookaayyy...lol. Anyway, on our very last night of the trip we were at the MK and we let our son pick our last ride, and he picked POTC. Right before boarding, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee get on our boat with us. Pure magic!!

The other was when we were the family that helped Mickey open the MK, and my kids sat side by side with Mickey on the train from Toontown to the Main Street Station.

I don't know why but the "He's real!" made me burst out laughing. :ROFLOL:

I know many of the members here are not fans of Stitch never mind Stitch's Supersonic Celebration, but Stitch & the show were my daughter's favorite. I can't tell you how many times I saw it with her between it's short run but it was ridiculous. Anyway telling her that the show was ending was a nightmare. She cried & cried. I suggested that she make a card for the cast members thanking them & telling them how much she loved the show. I also promised we would watch every preformance on the last day. Well, the last day came & we waited for Gayle the character handler so she could pass on my daughter's card. All the preforms came out and thanked my daughter. They spent their time in between the shows talking & taking pictures with my children, including them in pictures with their own families. My children still visit their friends from disney world & are often picked at shows & attraction their "Friends" are working at. The preforms really went above and beyond with my children.

I always seem to have good times, (and pictures to show it) no matter the park with Chip 'n' Dale.....Outside of that, "Fantasia" Mickey @ Epcot, and MNSSHP a few years ago, when it was a villian-fest on Main Street.

It is a toss up between 2 moments. 1. On a trip to Epcot this past August I was visiting with Minnie and I was able to live out a child hood fanticy. You see on my first trip many years ago I had a huge crush on Minnie. So lets fast forward now to this past August. I saw her and playfully got down on one knee and proposed. Minnie played along and from what I understand it looked really cute. My other moment was also with Minnie back on December 10 durring MVMCP. I was in Mickey'sToon Town Fair and I went to see Mickey and Minnie. I thanked them both for all of the hard work they have done for so many guests. From there They both went over and beyond with plenty of hugs and alot of one on one attenchin.

I like Stitch (just keep him out of The Enchanted Tiki Room!), but the show in Tomorrowland was really not so good... The Cast Members really tried though to make the best of "bad material" during their performances... my heart REALLY went out to them... I sincerely hope that management did not try to say the performers were the cause of the show's failure, because it was NOT! I hope those cast members who Braved it all to perform that show are all promoted with pay increase! :)

As for Stitch, I REALLY still believe that Stitch would be an AWESOME Disney presence over at Disney Quest.... he is an alien with advanced tech, and he likes to play games, plus he has his mischievous side which would also play well at DQ! I am surprised no one at Disney has tried this....

I had a good 5 to 10 minutes with Mickey and Minnie to myself one night at DAK. It was pretty awesome, I came around the corner and boom, the Mouses were standing there without a soul around them. I thought they were getting ready to go backstage, but they were just hanging out. It was cool to have the first couple to myself for a bit. :D

The weekend of the annual pass previews for Toy Story Mania, we took a day trip down just for the preview, and brought my mom (also a passholder). We rode and enjoyed the ride, and were leaving the park to go to EPCOT for the Flower and Garden festival and stopped at the entrance for a bathroom break. My kids and I were waiting outside the round shop right inside the gates when a cast member wearing the shirt a character handler wears started talking to the kids (asked me if it was OK first). She asked if they'd like to meet some special friends...so the five of us (mom, wife, me, and kids) had about 10 minutes in the back of guest services with Stitch, Minnie, Daisey, Donald and Pluto. The kids loved it, but my mom was just incredulous - she'd heard of that sort of thing happening at WDW, but in 40 years of visits had never had it happen to HER.

BTW...the characters were GREAT!!! Minnie took quite a likeing to me...:lookaroun
