Good Morning All. I know what your thinking, here's this mad Scotsman talking drink again. This year I enjoyed a cool beer at PORS. muddy pool bar and got chatting away to some dude from Texas.Anyway we swopped stories and joked about our different lifestyles and lots of other stuff.I always like to try the resort pool bars for just one or two beers( honest) so do you have a favourite one where you can share a story and a beer.;)

All the ones I have tried serve pretty watered down drinks and at $9 a drink I learned to stick to brewskies but all of the bartenders seem nice. Although not a pool bar the one outside El Centro at CSR on the patio is a very nice place to kick back and relax.

Wilderness Lodge, Trout Pass, for the pool side bar. I enjoyed a few cold beers when most of the family was back in the room crashed out (from the parks :) ), a very enjoyable experience. They were doing some different games each day out by the pool, hoola hoop contests, team trivia, duck races. My daughter did win her age group for the hoola hoop, and if we had entered the trivia, we could have won. The bartenders were great, good conversation and keep the beer cup full when needed.

Maybe I'm partial because I've become friends with the bartenders here over the years, but I love Siesta's at Coronado Springs :) Francisco and Adrian (Jesus) are two of my favorite bartenders ever. I wish I could take them home with me :) Maybe their drinks seem so good because I'm a repeat customer, but truthfully I could sit at that bar for hours just enjoying the chit chat with them, and the other guests by the pool.

Our family is visiting next week, splitting our stay at the Beach Club and Bay Lake Towers. It will be the first time in over a decade that the DW and I will be able to spend some time alone, feeling comfortable leaving out teenagers alone. We have plans to bar hop the Epcot and Monorail Resorts, with stops at the pool bars. I'll be sure to let you know what we think of the pool bars at those resorts.:) (I haven't visited some in 20 years!)

Mine would be the beach pool bar at the Grand Floridian. It was always special to sit and enjoy an ice cold drink on a hot day while my family played in the pool and rode the water slide dozens of times. The bartenders were always nice and would put on a baseball game for me. I don’t know how the overall setting will be affected when construction is completed. But in the past the sounds of families splashing in the pool, the sound of the waves and boats from seven seas lagoon, and children building sand castles on the beach made for a very memorable setting. It cannot be beat!!!
