You Know You're A Disney/DisneyWorld Dork When...

...people at work come up to you to ask info about a trip to Disney and you just want to talk to them all day until you realize the "glaze" in their eyes

How many times do you notice the "glaze" and just keep on talking!! :D

BTW - I love your signature - my son was singing that song the other day and I had never heard it before. He's 5 (and a Star Wars junkie) and I make him sing it to anyone that will listen - it's hysterical!!

I just keep on tr__________g. A co-worker asked me to help him price a possible trip to WDW in October and 20 minutes later I had told him the entire history of the parks, Walt, and had described most rides in depth.

I constantly check all of the sites I know of while listening to live365. I also have my desktop set with a WDW theme. There's nothing better than Disney.

When the only family photos you have are on Disney attractions.

LOL, some of my favorite family photos are of the 4 of us wearing matching Disney t-shirts in Disney World. (Yeah, we're geeky that way.) And of course, when we went to MNSSHP, we had to wear coordinated costumes.

....when you consider the car ride to the airport part of the vacation.
....when you call WDW "home" despite living nowhere near it.
....when you use other people's trip reports to get your daily fix.
....when you plan a trip out, pricing everything for upcoming days off just in case.

I just keep talking without a pause so the person doesn't have a chance to say, "well alright then". [obvious Seinfeld reference!]

...it is 2 o'clock in the morning and you say to yourself, "I'll just check the forums on WDWMagic quickly before I go to bed", only you end up spending a couple of hours minimum on them before finally crawling into bed around 4am or later! Not just once in a while either, but MOST nights! :snore:

...you start your official WDW Trip countdown a good 700+ days out by writing it on your dry erase board on your computer room door and most of your dry erase markers in the pack are "dried up" before you get to the end of your countdown. :p

just thought of a new one. its quite sad really. haha i was organizing some pictures on my computer and realized how big the album i have from disney 09 is. so i got the idea of separating it into different albums separating them by park so i can find pictures easier. upon thinking of this i get excited because that meant i got to go through each of my pictures & look at em....just the thought of me getting excited over that is a combination of being obsessed with disney & having OCD. AND i think of this thread immediately & rush right on here to post this. yep its sad & i'm sorry to whoever read this haha! i'm ridiculous sometimes  lol!

...when you almost get rear ended this morning at high speed and have to quickly make an evasive maneuver into opposing traffic whilst the guy who almost rear ended you slides up beside you in the median. Collision avoided and you drive along on your merry way all the while Bippidy Boppity Boo is playing on the car stereo.

After this happens instead of flipping the guy the bird you yell "have a magical day a**hole."

  • You frequently refer to your boyfriend as "Simba One"
  • You write a paper for your Psychology class on Archetypes using Disney Villains as your examples (and got an 'A' on it)

Ha! I love that you call your BF "Simba One"
For my public speaking class I did a presentation on how to book a trip to WDW, I also got an A.

I've seen a lot that apply to me. Here are some:

1. When you are a member of a WDW forum
2. when you spend more of your work hours on WDWmagic than actually working
3. When you have planned a WDW trip for 2 years, and since you haven't been able to do it, you update everything (hotel rates, car rental prices, wdw tickets) at least every month just to keep track of how much money you still need to save
3. when you're 26 and the only world you want to see is WDW. (And that's how it's been since you were 10)
4. when the only reason why you would want to go to Paris is to visit disneyland Paris... Eiffel Tower??? what's that???
5. When everyone in your family knows you're a Disney Dork, and are aware that you "magically"find out everything that happens in WDW
6. When your Desktop picture is one of Main Street and Cinderella's Castle cause you're a firm believer that when you visualize your dreams constantly they come true faster. (and even more when that picture was taken from one of the forum members trip report!! Thanks WDWFigment :sohappy:)
7. When you have managed to brainwash your (disney fans but non-disney-dorks) family members that WDW has to be the destination for your next vacation, and even have turned planning that trip into the every day after dinner subject of conversation. :king:

I think I can make an appointment with my therapist now... :hammer:

We would LOVE to go for Star Wars weekends - maybe next year as I think this year will be NUTS with Star Tours re-opening (oh year - and we just went in December). After Jedi Training Academy I was having a lightsaber duel with my son and he actually told me, "the force is not strong with you mama, the force is strong with me". I asked if he had a high metachlorine count and he very seriously answered, "yes". :D

Hahaha Ive actually said that......but left off the A-hole part... nothing makes a person madder than you SMILING at them and saying that when they expect you to shoot back at them! :) KILL EM WITH KINDNESS!!! :)

Hahha Number 5 is because of WDWmagic and yeah Im with you on that! :)

My wife dreams of visiting England...so I tell her "Did you know they have this really Cool train that goes from England to Paris? When we go to England we will have to ride over to Paris for a few days!" Yes, Paris Disney is EXACTLY the reason! :)

When you constantly go around telling people how many days until your next visit to WDW . . . . . . . . . whether they want to know or not!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . its 204 . . . . . .:(

SO TRUE!!!!!!!

Every day, I just say out loud "__ days!!" And they all know what I'm talking about. 40 days, btw...

....while you are on the forum site, you are also surfing for icons to use for your pic while listening to your dowloaded Disney music or any other Disney music site
