You Know You're A Disney/DisneyWorld Dork When...

When, after some completely insane planning you can take a 5 and 7 year old on their first trip during the busiest week of the year (Dec 26-30) and do everything you intended to do by dinner time. WITHOUT WAITING IN ANY LINES LONGER THAN 20 MINUTES. With no park hoppers. With only four days in the parks.

For example, on the day MK had the phase 2 closing, (12/29/2010) we did 18 separate attractions in MK by 6 p.m. And that's not counting that we went on Splash Mtn TWICE. (It was 39 degrees the first time we went on--no line whatsoever!)

And my kids weren't in strollers and didn't complain about the walking one bit.

It CAN be done. :drevil:

Although I don't know if that classifies me as a Disney Dork or a Disney Commando.

I won a small contest at work a couple years ago, and got a picture frame with our company logo on it. I put a photo I took of Spaceship Earth (no people, just SSE and the Fountain of Nations) in it and it sits proudly on my desk with my little statue of Figment holding SSE. People think I'm nuts

Has a 100 years of magic Epcot park banner (yes the big pole Banner!)hanging in our Dining Room!

Just curious, did you get that from MouseSurplus or somewhere on eBay? I used to have all 4 of the parks from the 100 years and sold them. I kept the general WDW 100 years banner that I still have. LOVE the 100 YOM merchandise and memorabilia.

....when you accidently subscribe to two editions of "celebrations" magazine

....while you are on the forum site, you are also surfing for icons to use for your pic while listening to your dowloaded Disney music or any other Disney music site

...people at work come up to you to ask info about a trip to Disney and you just want to talk to them all day until you realize the "glaze" in their eyes

Interestingly enough it was an unknown seller on ebay, sometimes it pays to take a chance! I also think it was listed in the wrong non-disney category (something like historical advertisements or something lol Yeah I do specific searches on ebay hehe)....people didnt even bid on it and I walked away with it for like $39...it is Gorgeous on my wall too...looks like it was indoors somewhere at the parks....

When you listen to park attraction music 24/7. Thank goodness for Disney radio apps.

By an Ipod and visit Mousebits! :)

I've enjoyed reading these postings so much! I confess I have done some of these Disney dork-ista items, but this thread makes me feel like such an amateur though! I'm going to have to make a list of them and keep it handy so I can brush up on my Disneyfying.

How about if your license plate reads WDWRLD, you use a POR refilable mug to drink out of at work every day, you get asked at least once a day when your next trip to WDW is, people call you from Disney World when you are at home to ask a question about a showtime, transportation option, or where something is.

~ when your fiance has to go to a convention every year in Orlando & you go along to go to the Disney parks AND get excited when he tells you his company signed on to go for another 10 years so you know that means AT LEAST 10 more years of Disney trips for you every year =)

~ when you drive to another state just to go to the nearest disney store to look for new items.

~ when your entire family knows you're the disney dork of the family (hey at least they know who to go to for advice!)

~ when you take a family member for the first time & get them hooked on Disney too (also when a family member tells you they're going during what you know is a busy time and you resist the urge to say "it would be a MUCH less crowded time if you go...")

~ when you tell your significant other all the latest updates to the parks that you learn from this site & they really don't care that much haha

~ when your little niece draws YOU disney pictures instead of keeping them for themselves because they know you are the disney freak

~ when your main purse is a mickey mouse purse & you feel hesitant to wear a mickey mouse shirt because you don't want people to look at you funny (even funnier when you're at target buying their complete mickey mouse bath collection and you've got a mickey shirt on & your mickey purse with you....i can only imagine what the cashier was thinking)

~ when you beg your fiance to let you make your bathroom/kitchen mickey mouse themed and at christmas time want to do a mickey themed tree

~i'm also guilty of going to disney on ice for disney fixes & my fiance and i are in our 20s with no kids

~ when you try to talk your fiance into having a disney themed wedding

~when you consider upgrading your cell phone so you can get the disney apps

~ when you get annoyed at your friend (who is obsessed with universal) when they won't go to Disney with you and you try explaining to them they have more than just kiddie rides at MK there & they just laugh & don't believe you grrrrrrr

~ when you go to the library & check out disney world books to read even though you know all about the parks and everything they have in them.

~ when people ask you what you want for your birthday/christmas and you say just get me something from the disney store haha

ok i think thats enough. sorry so many =)

My ringtones on my phone change daily from the monorail spiel, El Rio Del Tiempo, MSEP, and Dinosaur.

I plan entire WDW vacations all the time. Even though I know I am not going back for at least a year.
