I had a quick question about the mail entries for the YOAMD. I have the address: PO Box 8626 Elmhurst, IL 60126, but do I need to address it to Disney Dream Giveaway or is just the PO Box and City/State/Zip fine. Thanks.

I addressed mine to Year of a Million Dreams and the address and I won a pair of ears about a week ago. I don't think it matters what you put it as so long as the address part is right. :)

How many times did it take to send your entry in before you won something? Also, do you have to be 18 or over to win?

I'm thinking about sending in entrys for my whole family, could I put mine and my brother's name down? I'm 17 and he's 5.

Thanks!

I enter every day for all four of us. There is no age minimum. If I remember the rules correctly. The drawings are around the 20th of each month for the month before. Then the prizes arrive within the next 55 days. So there's at least a one to two month delay before you start seeing prizes. The first batch of October prizes didn't start arriving until the beginning of January. Judging from when the prizes are arriving, I think they've sped that up a little now.

I was wondering the same thing and also what info they need on the cards?

Thanks!

Full details can be found in the official rules:
http://www.disneyparks.com/rules

But they're looking for your name, address, phone number and date of birth, sent to the address given in a post above.

As for what cards to use, you can use whatever postcards you want, but the most cost-effective option are the pre-stamped cards you can get from the US Post Office. They only charge 2-cents above the cost of the postcard stamp. It's currently 26-cents per postcard, but with the impending postage rate change it'll be 28-cents in a couple weeks. You can get them at your local post office, or through the USPS website (www.usps.gov)

I've been sending in two postcards everyday starting at the end of January. Then, in March or so, I got lazy and started only sending in a couple a week or so, however, now that I won I will start sending in more often I'm sure. I'm figuring that the ears I won were probably from a postcard that I sent in sometime in February or maybe March.

They come certified mail. I was home the other day and I had to sign for them from my postwoman. If you are not home, then you have to pick it up at the post office.

I have been sending in the prestamped postcards from the post office. Like Rob said, it's the most cost effective.

There are a few nitpicky rules that I have followed to the letter. I've heard some people who say they don't follow those rules but I don't want to take chances. Disney can decide to enforce those rules at any time.

For instance the post cards from the post office are about .5 inches too long according to the size rule so I trim off that .5 inch. It also says write your name and address so I do not preprint that side. I preprint labels with the Disney Dreams address for the stamped side and handwrite my info on the other.

They do come certified mail, and if you're not there you'll get a slip saying you have a package and the sender is "Walt Disney"!:)

I don't know if they had the online drawing yet, but it is something different. You could only enter once, it wasn't for the million prizes being given out. I haven't heard of anyone winning.

You've got to be kidding me?

I'm going buy postcards right now. I can't believe that a lot of people are winning multiple times. On the mail-in entries.

This rocks so much. I was there the week of Christmas - New Year's and didn't win anything.

Thanks for the heads up gang!

Someone on another message board actually won a stay at the castle through the mail! Now that means that Disney substituted a prize of equal value, so he got a box full of YOAMD merchandise like a stuffed mickey and minnie, pens, photo albums, etc. AND to make the prize equal retail value, there was also a $377 gift cerfiticate!!!:)

cnfdrate1 the prizes won't start showing up for a month or two after you send them in, so be patient! It's worth it!:D

I'm heading to the post office too for lunch! I'd be thrilled with winning only once!
