About a month ago, I emailed Disney asking what was going on with the yeti to see if they would give any good information. Well a few emails and a phone call later, here's what I found out.

Disney knows it is broken and is looking to refine it, and to determine the best use of it within the attraction. Future plans are not yet determined.

So just thought I would throw this out there. The person on the phone seemed very nice by the way.:) (I didn't actually talk to them since I was gone, they just left a message on our answering machine.)

Anyone have any more up to date insider info?

Sounds sad that they are not fixing it yet. B-Mode is kinda bad show if you ask me.

I don't think she was wondering about the Yeti, It's the "how do you email Disney" part she was wondering about.

It took "a few emails and a phone call" to find that out?? How exactly is this "news" that any of us didn't already know? :hammer:

I could of sworn that some one on this board did this before and get a very good e-mail back. Saying blah blah.....hes broken......blah blah. But then they were talking of some sort of plans to put a projector screen up where mr yeti is and have a projection of him until the full repairs/modifications can be done.

any one remember this or am i just blowing pixie dust outta my bum?

He was in A mode 100% of the time the first 4 months of my CP.

The last time I saw him in A mode was DAK's 10th anniversary. So it's almost a year since he's been working.

I don't think so. Since it is confirmed to be broken, there is no way they would reactivate it to A mode live, unless they believed they fixed the problem.

My trip in January resulted in a VERY Dark Yeti Cave with strobes that just made out the outline of the Yeti.


Question... Why couldn't the Disney Yeti be more cuddly like the ones from Mummy 3?

Last time I saw Yeti in its full glory was May 11th, 2007.

Granted that was the last time I was at WDW until two months ago.
