Yeti Repaired

Maybe JT can go to the sherif about that. Oh but he is too busy praising TDO for authorizing the repairs to the yeti animatronic even though it should have been repaired IMMEDIATLY

WDW has become a joke and they either need to step up quality/value to justify their current prices or lower the price if they they are content with giving guests a mediocre experince at the parks.

Something tells me you are not an engineer.

They can do the first one, easily of they are smart...

DisneyDellsDude, I rode it the other day and it was as good as ever. As for making the attraction "popular" again... I don't know when you go to the park but lately it has been a steady 30 min wait.

I guess I've been mostly focused on Everest, as well as hanging around in that area. The last time at WDW and AK, we never went to Dinosaur.

Plus, it seems no one on here really talks about it that much.
Glad to know it is still popular, but from the effects it had as Countdown, it could really use a refurb IMO.

So some of you think it was a wise decision on TDO's part to let their fans think that they let the Yeti sit broken for a year while WDI did nothing?

If pixar is a problem they could always use Stitch in a little spaceship and waving to the crowd like this

Shhhh... You know TDO reads these boards... And since they have no creativity themselves, they just will take this and run with it, since it involved their current fetish.. STITCH...

I think they shouldn't be letting everything out of the bag... Something like this should be fixed without making a huge hoopla about it... And again, when we have to resort to doing cartwheels over something they should be doing anyway, we are in trouble..

I agree. Its great to have the Yeti back working right again. Was it determined what caused the problem? Was it one of the possible problems talked about on these boards like foundation or the actual Yeti? Or maybe something else?

I've been thinking that...Emphatically, NO.

They could have let us know it was being addressed. Disney has every sort of media at their proposal...

So do you get off on just being overly negative and pessimistic all the time? Everything I've ever read from you has been a joke, a mess of complaints and irrational rantings.

Nothing's perfect, but the whole DoM thing is ________________, and so are your posts.

Fans have a hightened since of their self-importance and entitlement.

I don't really think it matters if they let us know or not. It's fixed. You can either be happy that it is working again or you can look for 1% in a 99% positive situation to complain about.

I am now ready for someone to twist what I said into a defense of TDO.

I don't really get the negativity about this fix, either. Should it have been fixed earlier? Well, sure, but I don't think too many people on here know every little bit of information that went into this fix. Maybe they spent a while figuring out how to fix it without closing the ride or taking the yeti completely out of the attraction. Who knows? Point is, its fixed.
I don't think they needed to tell the fans one way or another. I can see why they wouldn't, though. If what they were trying didn't work there would have been a lot of disappointed fans. This way its a nice surprise.
On the other hand, I don't think TDO deserves much beyond a "Good job" on this, either. They fixed something that was broken. That's what they should do. Its not like added something to the attraction. But by the same token they don't deserve more negativity on the topic, either. Its fixed, let's move on to the next thing that needs fixing at WDW. And there's quite a few things that need fixing!

Oh get over yourself already. It sounds like they've been working on this as immediately as they could. This wasn't just something that you walked in, replaced a bolt, and it was fixed. Maybe they should have said they were working on it, maybe not. either way, it turns out that they were. Disney has always been a secretive organization. This is no different than normal operations for years have been.
