I just got word via e-mail by a friend of mine that her sister just won the silver meadal in Tae-Kwan Do!!!! I am so excited for her and our family!!!

It is so very cool that you know an Olympic athlete. My wife went to school with a girl whose younger sister grew up to be an Olympian cyclist. She had her own shampoo commercial for awhile. Then, when I was living in Jacksonville, a professional colleague's daughter became a famous Olympic swimmer and even had a billboard of her likeness wearing Jockey underwear in Times Square.

Congrats to your friend's sister! :sohappy: So, you are going to challenge her to a little one on one, just to remind her that she can't get over on big sister's friends, right?

Mexico won bronze in women´s Tae Kwon Do and silver in men´s. The two athletes are brother and sister trained by their dad! Isn´t that cool?

I´m cheering for Rommel Pacheco in the ten meter platform tomorrow. He is from my city and is now in fifth place. *fingers crossed*

Oh how cool! Congrats to her! I knew a guy once who went to the US Olympic trials for Fencing (I believe he was Eppe) but he didnt win. He did give me the little pins that they gave them though :lol:
