how soon until they put up the christmas decorations in the wdw park, and at the resorts, such as AKL?

is it done in November, or is that to early.

I read somewhere that when you wake up the morning after thanksgiving the resorts seem like they are magically decorated over night. Do they really only take one night to decorate the resort or is it just a gradual process that most guests don't notice? Thanks!

When we arrived at Dixie Landings - excuse me, Riverside - on November 6 last year, the Christmas tree was up in the lobby, along with lots of other gorgeous Christmas decorations.

Shhhh...don't tell anyone, but I still refer to it as Dixie Landings, too! It is one of my favorites. I've never seen it at Christmas, but I will next year. My family is going to WDW Thanksgiving of 2005. I've never been to WDW while the Christmas decor was up. I can not wait!!!!!!

The decorations instantly put me in the Christmas spirit! They are so beautiful, and be sure to take time to visit a few resorts and check out their decorations as well. Every resort has their own thing, and also be sure to check out the Grand Floridian's. You might even be able to eat a piece of the deco in the form of a shingle from the life-size gingerbread house in the lobby.

I totally agree with Debbie. If you get the chance go to the GF and check out it's life size gingerbread house that sells gingerbread goodies. It's breathtaking!
