Ok, I know the x-mas season at Disney starts on Nov.10th, but how is the castle lighting handled. Is it a nightly event? If so around what time does it happen?

x-mas lights on castle

When we were there in the beginning of December, lights went on around dust.. Don't remember them doing anything special... At first the castle backdrop lights are on changing colors then the icicle lights come on... They change covers as well!!! I just love the castle with those lights on it!!! Looks so beautiful!!!

They perform "Cinderella's Holiday Wish", a short stage show in front of the castle. Typically it's right around dusk. It should be listed in the Times Guide.
The only night that I saw it was a MVMCP night in December. The park closed at 7PM, and the lighting was at 6PM.

So I will be there from Nov. 21-30, should I get to see the castle lite up?

I'd say definitely by the end of your trip, after Thanksgiving. Not sure when they start it, though. (Epcot's holiday stuff starts the day after Thanksgiving)

The 'official' day for the Christmas things at WDW is the day after Thanksgiving.

Oh this is something I want to see one of these days. The lights on the castle around Christmas time.
The reason I question is that on Nov 10 starts the MVMCP & the Osborn lights in DHS, so I was not sure if since the lights already being installed that they could be on.

Yeah that's just the official date.
It would be strange to have MVMCP going on without the lights on the castle set for Christmas.

I hate how they call them holiday lights. Christmas is the only holiday that does that.

As far as I know, the lights are already being installed. They should be lit on the first MVMCP :xmas:
The first show should be Nov 10 and then daily from them on.

I know Osbourne lights stay on until 1/4, but does anybody know how long the holiday lights at MK stay on after X-mas? We are going 12/31-1/8 and were hoping to see those as well.
