Marc got a new job! He's been hired away from his consulting firm with a nice raise that will go a long way towards me being able to stay home when we decide to have kids, plus paid parking (his bosses don't even have paid parking, so it's a big deal) plus his own office, and soon there'll be people under him! I'm so very proud of him. :king:

My day has been horrible... may i gripe for a moment? I was threatened today. Embarrassed and Verbally assulted by one of my real estate clients. She threatened to break into my home. She called my broker, office secretary, the co-op builder, and co-op agent and proceeded to ruin my reputation in this industry. It's all worked out now - but I'm still shaking from everything. She was under the impression that I should have been on the phone with her my entire vacation because she wanted to back out of a contract and get her earnest money back on the contract she was breaking. All of this while not being able to make up her mind as to wether or not she still wanted the house in the first place. I turn my cell off at night - and when I turned it on at 9:30 this morning I had 23 messages from her since last night at 9 - she can't pay her bills and needs the money back immediatly. (not exactly how that works - 1. she can't get her money back b/c she broke the contract - 2. even if she could it's a 2-3 week turn around time once we get all the releases signed which can take a week or so in itself.) So... by 9:30 when I got all these messages - she had already called everyone involved in the transaction and ran my name through the mud calling me every name in the book. I had to turn around and call all these people back explaining that the woman is phsyco and needs major assistance. She then threatened to break into my home (she found my address online apparently) and take her $500 earnest money if I wouldn't get it to her immediatly. Anyway - stupid me was deleting all her messages as I went... now I know I should have saved them and givin them to the police - however what's done is done... at the end of the day, she's getting her money back b/c the other agent is afraid this crazy lady is going to do something nuts and says $500 isn't worth someone going crazy at her office. I'm so frustrated right now. I could care less that we lost the sale... I'm just furious that I'm having to deal with such a nutcase right now. My poor broker and office secretary were both cursed out by this chic - and frankly I'm about ready to pull my hair out in frustration...

ok. so i need a hug. sorry to be a downer guys... just needed to vent... thanks...

Well, I'm off. I'm making a special dinner tonight! It's our 8th dating anniversary, and while it's not as special as our wedding anniversary, I thought I'd surprise him with one of his favorite meals. :slurp:

I've been studying all afternoon... that and looking for a summer job

Ya know I think I might want to be a waiter this summer (if I can get a job doing it). Outback is my favorite restaraunt... and since I want to be a financial planner out of school... I could definitely use the experience of constantly working with, serving, and helping people... Plus I think it'd be fun. I found out my girlfriend will be making more than enough to pay for her portion of the Disney trip... I figure if I could be a waiter, I'd definitley make enough money to pay for my half...

Still looking for internships though... but I'm not as down as I was yesterday... and feeling somewhat optimistic
