First, as hot as those can be, the occupant is being paid to wear it. Second, while it may not seem like much, the gap between a character occupant's face and the costume is vast in comparison to the suffocating feeling of a tight-fitting mask. And finally, have you never noticed how often they change people out of those costumes backstage? I'm expected to wear a mask all day and the "reasonable" comparison is a paid costume wearer who changes out with another worker in the air conditioning every 30 minutes or so?

It's only unlikely right now because pretty much everything is shut down. Once hospitals begin doing their normal business and things start to open up, we need to make sure we don't reach a breaking point with infections. That's why social distancing and face coverings are so important. It would be VERY EASY for hospitals to become overwhelmed if another hot-spot pops up.

The data doesn't support that.

I'm sure that when we reopen, there will be flare-ups, but we will not see overwhelmed hospitals in places with any sort of capacity. It's past time to reopen.

There are many who still will not be comfortable being where there are large numbers of people, regardless of masks, sanitizers, and social distancing. Especially those at high risk. If they are in the high risk "young" elderly group, they might never return.
One group of cast members who we enjoyed having conversations with are elderly cast members working in operations in the theme parks. Their stories are amazing. Some were successful professionals in other parts of the country. Then they retired and moved to Central Florida to play golf and work part time at WDW to be around people. Their customer service were leaps and bounds over some of the younger set of cast members in our opinion. With the slow opening of WDW I wonder if they will be required to return to work.

This could be true but they are gearing up to open Disney Springs so they must have a clue. The foundation of allowing folks back on property is the cleaning, disinfecting and training of how to use the protocols and products. So without knowledge of the products being used or being considered to be used how can they prepare to open and get approval to open?
OSHA requires that MSDS for each chemical being used be made available upon request. I have made this request with no response. If they are busy that is understandable but all it takes is a response “the MSDS sheets will be made available once we have finalized our protocols”.
If it were up to Disney they would not be opening Disney Springs yet. This has primarily been led by third party operators.

I have no inside information on this but I feel like Disney will largely be using the same chemicals they have always used. Just much hmore extensively, in greater volume, and far more frequently. They obviously already have an extensive list of cleaning chemicals In use that are properly documented, cast are properly trained on, and have been proven safe and effective for guest and cast contact areas.

Unless you work for Disney I don’t think there is any OSHA requirement that MSDS be made available to you. OSHA is concerned with the safety of employees and doesn’t really get into regulations regarding customers.

We spent over 8k last time we visited in 2015. Thats for two weeks from the UK all inclusive at POR. So i would imagine a dulux would easily push it over 10k
Daaaang. I know It’s possible. I just never knew anyone personally who would sink so much into just a Disney vacation when you can easily enjoy a Disney vacation with just.. 2k. That’s insane. I can’t even comprehend that.

I get the whole out of country thing though.

I also sometimes forget that I only go with me, my girlfriend, and one extra person. So I guess the amount of people makes a difference too.
