Give it time and buffets will make a comeback. There might be some hygiene changes but the concept will return. Since this is a respiratory virus, buffets are no riskier than simply being in close proximity to others. If concerts, theaters, theme parks, and air travel can comeback/continue then buffets will too. The only issue will be public perception but humans have short memories. Not just that. Even hotels like holiday Inn express free breakfast. That is officially gone.
Buffets don't need to be "officially gone."

Freedom? You are free to go but since they are a privately owned company, you must follow their rules if you choose to go.Sorry, it is about me, and my families personal freedoms. But that is a totally different subject then this matter and park visits. and remember 99% of people recover
I Doubt they have the no more than 10 person group thing.I counted more than 10 people in that group.
Chip and Dale are paid to be there, you pay to be there.
Why did this bother you?The reporters aren’t even socially distancing...that really bothered me.
Why did this bother you?
I feel that way. The problem is a lot don't think we need to keep doing the "physical distancing theatre" as they call it....uh they are literally on top of the President. They should be practicing social distancing to set a good expectation of how to behave when in the park.
I feel like the guests aren’t really going to care about the guidelines and its going to be hard to have a cast member breathing down everyone to tell them to stay apart. Again, I hope I’m wrong but the reporters aren’t exactly inspiring confidence.
Maybe it’s just me...but I can’t be the only one feeling this way.
I know what you’re saying. The thing is, outbreaks are going to happen. Illnesses are going to happen. We can either shut down ad infinitum, or we can manage the outbreaks. South Korea, the bastion of Covid management just had another outbreak and shut down certain business for an additional 30 days. It’s going to happen....I don’t mean it like that. That’s obviously extreme. It just doesn’t seem right to me. Not sure how to explain it. All it takes is one little outbreak...
I wish it could be that easy. Its on us the people to keep physical distancing now that things are opening.I know what you’re saying. The thing is, outbreaks are going to happen. It’s miserable wearing on all day indoors.This. I want to laugh at all these people saying, “yeah, I’d totally wear a mask! No big deal!”
Seriously, unless you wear one all day every day as part of your job AND that job is in the hot outdoors, you have absolutely zero clue how miserable that mask is going to feel all day long in the Florida heat.
And as for children under the age of 12, give or take, they complain enough as it is when they are hot and tired (and understandably so, who enjoys being hot and tired?) Add a stifling mask to that mix, and you are just guaranteeing yourself a miserable child.
I think that’s a bit extremeSadness. I guess Disney and other won’t care about the rights of the disabled who have health issues. Goodbye to Disability Rights Laws.
I think I read it somewhere that they will also provide masks for guests who didn't bring one. I'm sure there will be an abundant supply since all castmembers are required to wear one. Masks are now going to be the new celebration buttons where you can ask for it anytime you want for free. This! Forget your personal feelings on masks for a second, there’s no way this works logistically.
You make your reservation to get into the park and you forgot your mask? Do you get turned away? Ok, maybe.
Your 5 year old is eating a Dole Whip and the entire thing melts on their mask, do they get kicked out of the park now? Are there going to because members running around frantically redistributing masks? I doubt it.
