Is this even a real question?! HOLLYWOOD STUDIOSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:cool::p Universal is lameeeeeeee
This is an honest question. NOT picking on you or trying to make fun of you.

I'm old and dumb and have been wanting to know this for a long time. :) Seriously NOT trying to offend. (Really. Truly.)

Why do young people add extra letters to the end of words? Are you emphasizing those words? Should we be mentally pronouncing them differently?

Help!

It's mainly to emphasize a letter we would normally hold out. In the era where many text, we have learned to write like we talk, so if we add letters anywhere, it's because we would normally hold them out when we talk. Of course, it's not always done correctly. :)

I prefer US for content but DHS for show .. but to be honest, the traffic flow and show schedule make the DHS experience infuriating to me. It's like being at work - I feel like you have to have a PHD in nerdery to make good use of your time in that park (which I do, but that's beside the point).

Yep, good thing there's nothing lame at DHS!

...except the long-overstayed-their-welcome Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast shows.
...or the Backlot Tour of a non-functioning studio with a handful of old movie props and a major emphasis on the 2001 film Pearl Harbor.
...or the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, a film no kid today has even heard of.
...or the "opened past the show's prime and is now waaay past it's prime" American Idol Experience which has always struggled to get people in the theater.
...or Lights, Motors, Action, a stunt show about car chases that somehow manages to be a total snooze.
...or the Animation Tour that isn't really a tour or much of anything besides some Meet & Greets.
...or Streets of America, which is a barren empty wasteland for 5/6ths of the year.
...or the shuttered and pointless former Sounds Dangerous location.
...or the laughably pathetic Captain Jack Sparrow attraction, which is still better than what it replaced.

Yep, nothing but pure quality at DHS!

I can understand that. I'm sort of the same way. One of these days I'll make it down there; it might not be until after I move down there. Still, I think as someone who grew up going to the world so much and who is fiercely loyal to it, I will probably never love Universal as much as the world, though I'll probably learn to appreciate it and have fun.
I must admit I'm one of those pesky tourists from socialist Europe with two weeks (or more! :p) of vacation time in Orlando.

If I only had four or five days in Orlando, once a year, I might never leave WDW either. Especially when you factor in Orlando's pricing structure, which weighs heavily towards visiting one resort only.

If you do have the time and the opportunity, there is real quality and fun to had outside the magic bubble.

Although like you I too don't think I'll ever love UNI or SEA the way I love Disney. For me, that gate is closed. Five minutes of teary-eyed gazing upon SSE is worth more to me than three days at UNI.

However, with Disney getting worse and UNI getting better, I wonder how coming generations will feel about these things. There are eleven year old kids nowadays who love the Potter books and love Hogwarts, but who have outgrown princesses and don't care for lame family rides with all effects broken. Will they grow up to forever be under the mouse's magic spell too?

I'm one of those pesky American students who has the entire summer off, only has one parent working, and who's other parents can take two weeks of vacation time.;) So I stay down there for two weeks and never leave! And then I go back in January for 10 days...We do the water parks and Disney Quest as well, plus all of the theme parks. During the summer, we kind of relax by the pool at the Beach Club (and another resort for part of the time, usually BLT). The reason we don't is usually a pricing issue. We have premium annuals and can go to the Disney parks as much as we want, but for Universal, we'd have to rent a car, get passes...it quickly adds up. For a family that goes on vacation four times a year (at least) we need to be vigilant with how we spend money while on vacation. Like I said, it may eventually happen, but just not now. It may be after I've moved down there and don't have to worry about a car. It's definitely not happening this year with going to Disneyland and Hawaii.

As someone in school, I still see Disney favored over Universal. Universal is kind of like a side thought in most kids, at least in my area. My mom is a substitute teacher at an elementary school and this is the attitude she sees too.

Hollywood Studios, by far! I went to Universal Studios for the first time in December and I was completely underwhelmed. Islands of Adventure was slightly better, but not by much. Though I don't usually, I could easily spend an entire day at DHS.

Universal.

Besides Tower of Terror, Universal is overall the better park.

I like The Mummy better than Rock'n'Roller Coaster

I like MIB better than Toy Story Mania

I like Disaster better than the boring backlot tour

E.T. is still better than a LOT of Disney's dark rides.

Universal isn't perfect. Twister is underwhelming and they really could use a decent live action show, but besides that, its all hands-down better.

It is more thematically sound, it has a LOT more new attractions, they actually do filming there, and they've done a masterful job of keeping the park relevant over the years.

I still think it's ABSURD for people to be voting or commenting without visiting both.

I voted for DHS for three reasons: Kongfrontation!, Back to the Future: The Ride, and Jaws: The Ride.

Universal was wrong in closing them.

EDIT -- Though Universal Florida could redeem itself if they brought back a Peter Jackson Kong attraction.

And I DONT mean a 3-D movie.

In other words, the people who are annoying as hell in person have to make themselves equally annoying in text. You know, to portray themselves accurately.
It's just something young people do with their friends. There's only so much you can communicate through written language, so we try to change it to communicate better. I only do it infrequently for vowel sounds because to me, it doesn't look right, especially with words like "likeeeeeeee" because you don't actually pronounce the e and it looks weird. It would make more sense to say like or liiiike or LIKE. But like I said, infrequently, usually only when I'm trying to make a point or I'm excited about something.

You are not alone.

Have you experienced King Kong: 360 3-D? It's a nice step up from just being more than a movie. Maybe not a stand alone attraction, but definitely cool.

It's cool...but Universal Florida needs a full Kong ride. With an animatronic Kong.

DHS. I was also underwhelmed with Universal when I visited there...they just don't have anything I am interested in.

Hollywood Studios for me. I don't care too much for either. Maybe it's because I don't watch movies. The deciding factor for me is the theme. I love the theme of 'the old Hollywood that never was, but always will be", and it's fun to just explore the parks, even without the rides, which I don't care for at either park. Plus, at Disney I'd get to see Fantasmic! and experience the perks that make me love Disney like pins, atmosphere, and characters.

I think if you took a person who has never been to either park or a person who does not have a crazy love for all things Disney, Uni would win almost everytime. I personally would rather go to Uni even though I am one of those crazy people who loves all things Disney. DHS is just lacking in things to do and it seems dated like many have already stated.
