Not really! The roadside carnival theme is atrocious. However, outside of Chester & Hester's, Dinoland is pretty nice. I really love the area around DINOSAUR and some of the little paths and things to explore.

I think that is a little on purpose...there is a big back story on that section, about the guy who own the gas station ( gift shop) and how he always wanted to own a carnival and added rides every year

Looking at this statement from a long run perspective, USO should be the place to go. More high quality attractions are being built and they are improving the overall look to the resort from what I see online and hear from friends I have that live in SoFl.

Yes, I know, but it sadly doesn't help make the theming any more appealing to the eye... Especially in a park as naturally beautiful as Animal Kingdom.

Except Van Gogh had something to express. Chester and Hester's Dino-Rama looks cheap because it had to be a cheap. The backstory is not genuine, just an excuse because Disney was only willing to build very little.

I don't think that is true at all...it's not there style..

As of this year Universal hands down. Mummy, Men In Black, Simpsons, Transformers, Terminator 2:3-D, ET, Despicable Me, a good nighttime show, better park layout, and so much on the horizon...

While DHS does have Tower of Terror which I still regard as the greatest attraction in WDW, as well as Rock N Roller Coaster, Star Tours, Toy Story Mania, and the Indiana Jones Stunt Show... It's Fantasmic pales compared to DLs, the park layout is a mess, the icon is a pin station, and there's no real direction with where this park is going.

Too bad there isn't more quality like ToT at DHS.

We need time for things to happen.
I have to say this is one of the better Uni vs WDW threads I've seen in a while.

It's a bit of conundrum for me. I have to say that I have not experienced US to it's fullest extent yet.
I've been on almost every ride, but it's always been at a hurried pace or with some crazy circumstances.
Last year being crazy but enjoyable.

I think that US does the "studio" thing better. DHS wasn't bad at it, but over the years they've lost that feel (for example the lameness of what is now the backlot tour).
However as a park...DHS has ToT, RnR and ST and that may just tip the scale...BUuuuutt with that being said..last year the Mummy at US was one of mine and my son's ride hightlights of our entire vacation..

ahhhh I'm undecided....but ok gun to my head right now..I gotta answer...ahhhh

DHS.

I think. No I'm sticking with DHS.....for now.

I will bump this thread in October when I return from our vacation.

Disney has no problem being cheap and tacky sometimes. Disney's California Adventure anyone?
At least they realized their mistakes with that one. Of the late 90s-early 2000s parks (Universal's Islands of Adventure, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney California Adventure), DCA seemed to be the tacky, failing runt. Now, it looks to be like (possibly) one of Disney's best parks!

Hollywood Studios all the way.
I like universal, don't get me wrong. But Hollywood studios has the disney magic that causes it to win in my eyes.
Plus, Star Tours and Toy Story Mania are two of my favorite rides. I could literally spend an entire day just riding star tours (which I have before) and be perfectly happy. And fantasmic is one of my all-time favorite shows, nighttime or otherwise :)

Its come a long way but Disney manages to off their Disneyland fans, occasionally. The Buena Vista Street windows are a prime example.
