It's very good-looking, no doubt... But, honestly, out of the four parks, DHS interests me the least. I'm definitely not saying I would never visit. I would, but the fake backlot, wannabe Hollywood theme (I live in Los Angeles. I can see the real Chinese Theater, authentic backlots and the real streets anytime I want)... Plus there aren't many attractions at thr park, I've come to learn, and Fantasmic! is drastically inferior to the original. The other three parks sound way more exciting to me. I'm very much still planning on visiting DHS. I could very well end up enjoying that park the most... But my first impressions aren't that great. I will hold final judgement until I actually go, as usual.

Star Tours...
I like Star Tours...not a big fan of coasters or big thrill rides...I go with theming every time...but that's just me
Universal Studios has two roller coasters. Two. One of them (Revenge of the Mummy) is regarded as one of the best themed rides in the world. Though Hollywood Rip, Ride, RockIt (most likely the one you're referring to) has a weak theme, yes. It's more about the experience and listening to music while on a thrilling roller coaster ride. Revenge of the Mummy is a much different kind of ride.

The rest of the park has no other major "thrill rides". Unless you count the spinning on Men In Black: Alien Attack (another amazing themed attraction) or the motions of The Simpsons Ride thrilling.

I believe that by now DCA has more attractions than all WDW parks combined. Somewhere along the line Disney learned that they can operate FLA theme parks with ten, six, four rides.

Although in DHS's defense, WDW does have four parks, and so the reasoning is that there needs to be variation between parks. DHS' niche is shows. And it's got a decent roster of them, if a bit stale, to complement its modest ride roster.

I did not know this

This is a really tough call for me since ToT, Star tours and RnR are three of my favourite rides but the rest of DHS is a little blah for me. GMR and Muppets are in the moderate range for me and I don't like TSMM at all. Everything else is generally a "skip" unless there is 5 minutes wait time or less. I can do DHS as a 1/2 day park easily and still be satisfied.

Uni has the Mummy which is really amazing and FJ which I loved. There are others like Jurassic Park, MiB, Simpsons, Disaster, Rip Ride Rockit, Terminator and Twister in the moderate range and only Shrek that I would skip.

So there is more that I would do at Universal but 3 of my favourites ar at DHS.

I don't think so. There's no way DCA has more attractions than all of WDW. MK alone has more attractions than DCA, I believe. Yeah, why only put a few rides on each park? There's so much potential with all that space. What's also confusing is the attraction for an attraction thing going on. Why take out an attraction for another attraction if the space is there? I can see why Disneyland sometimes does it but I was so shocked to hear about Snow White leaving.

The Indy show sounds very interesting. Am I correct? Is the Nemo show in DHS? I know Florida has a Beauty and the Beast show. That is in DHS as well, right? I'd love to see those.

Nemo is in Animal Kingdom! A great park by the way, it gets way too much flak.

Teh questions!

- DCA having more rides was hyperbole, an exaggaration to make a point.
- Rides cost money to maintain and operate. WDW's parks are exploited to the last penny, ran with as few rides as they can get away with while still filling the parks. Fun stuff slowly disappears, in its place restaurants, alcohol selling points and food and merch stalls proliferate.
- Killing Snow White is a sad and sorry mistake.
- Indy is alright, a nice show, but not to be mistaken for the best thing since sliced bread. Same goes for BatB.
- Nemo is in DAK, as is Festival of the Lion King.

Oh, well that's good! I thought you were serious haha.

I know you guys are tired of the Indy show and Beauty and the Beast, but I've never seen either so I'm really excited to see both, if they're even still there by the time I go. Snow White's absence makes me very sad.

Yes, while I've been on this forum I've noticed Chester and Hester's isn't very popular among the fans. Apparently people aren't very fond of the whole dinosaur thing at DAK?
Not really! The roadside carnival theme is atrocious. However, outside of Chester & Hester's, Dinoland is pretty nice. I really love the area around DINOSAUR and some of the little paths and things to explore.
