So there has been a rumour going round for a while that Aerosmith is going to be replaced with another band or singer. Wondered what the general thought of this is.

I personally would not be happy. I think Aerosmith are a great respected band and would (Sorry if i offend anyone) be so angry if they replaced it with someone like the jonas brothers(No offence to fans!:)).:hurl:
If it was a band that is equally as talented as Aerosmith and respected then you cant really complain :animwink:

I do enjoy some of Aerosmith's tunes, but I wouldn't be nearly as frightened by the idea of a replacement if this weren't Disney we were taliking about here. Best to leave it alone.

I'd be really sad to go into the preshow and not see Steven Tyler giving us 'the shocker' if Aerosmith were to be dropped. :lookaroun :p

While I can only see one other group to promote it I would say KISS..Just hearing Shout it out loud or I wanna Rock & Roll all night seems as good...But, I think will still see Aerosmith for sometime..I hope.

I love Aerosmith so no.

If they replaced it with someone like Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendrix or Queen which is all highly unlikely I wouldn't be that upset but because those 3 are unlikely I would be unhappy aye.

Edit - Or RHCP!

Yes, but only if they use their brains and pick a band that people over 35 may have heard of. I have zero interest in the Jonas Brothers Roller Coaster (or Miley Cirus or whoever is on their current 15 minutes of fame). KISS, AC/DC, Rolling Stones, U2, Prince, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen ... hell, even Bon Jovi would work. I've got nothing against Aerosmith (great band for a long time), but they aren't together anymore.

Also, I think it's a little dumb on Disney's part to have one of it's signature attractions themed on a drug addict who is in and out of rehab. How's it going to look when Tyler OD's and he's featured prominently in the park? It's one thing if it comes completely out of left field, but everyone knows he's got issues.

Sure, what you need is an artist with 4 or 5 up-tempo songs that everyone (ages 55 to 13) recognize when they hear them. Prince and Madonna qualify. Miley Cyrus does not. With Michael Jackson's death, Madonna may be the most well known musician in the world.

Well when you look at it like that then you have a point but still...:lookaroun
