Worst Opening Day Attraction Still Open Today

Another vote for the Speedway here, at least until they go electric and make the scenery more interesting.

The Main Street Vehicles have such limited schedules, I don't even know if they should count as an attraction any more.

I enjoy and appreciate the Presidents and Country Bears but understand why they are not at the top of most people's Must Do list. That said, don't even think of touching my Tiki Birds!

If including the riverboat and main street vehicles then the list should be expanded.

Country Bear Jamboree
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Frontierland Shootin' Arcade
The Hall of Presidents
The Haunted Mansion
"it's a small world"
Jungle Cruise
Mad Tea Party
Main Street Vehicles
Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
Swiss Family Treehouse

Tomorrowland Speedway
Walt Disney World Railroad
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room
I would add the Carousel, but not the Shooting Arcade or Treehouse... Those are hardly considered attractions.

But, this is just an opinion, of course... I recognize that they are listed as attractions, but they aren't, really.

I'm not going to stop conversations about their inclusion though.

Hear ya. I'd just argue that Treehouse and Shootin' Arcade are barely thought of as attractions because they're bottom of the barrel.

So if wanting to change the exercise to "worst from a selected list of opening day attractions still open today," and taking out the Main Street vehicles, from what's left I'd vote Country Bears. Tiki Room has more going on than Country Bears *and* one can bring dole whips to enjoy during the show, and I believe food is not allowed in Country Bears. Speedway has personal attachment.

I also vote speedway- how difficult would it be to install some Disney character topiaries and update the vehicles? The fact that they made no changes when they installed Tron (besides shortening it) is unforgivable.

Tiki bird is also up there. Not something I ever think to see. Once was enough.

And while it is not at the top of my list, and I know I will get destroyed for saying this….I am not enamored with the Jungle Cruise. I love the idea of the jungle cruise, love the place-making of the docks and boarding the boats, but once the journey starts it is outdated AAs and corny jokes that fall flat and have been heard a million times. And the ride depends on a good skipper. If you get a lousy one it is almost painful being stuck on a boat politely laughing at someone that is just not funny. It feels awkward and cringey. Usually when the ride is over I just want to get off the boat. I kinda wish the skipper would not talk and just let us drive around and look at stuff. #sorrynotsorry

Let's toss transportation into the mix. Monorail. There is no reason they should be so Frankensteined and looking like they currently do and operating how they currently operate.

Enchanted Tiki Room and Country Bears were both cut down too. I dont know the numbers on those so maybe not half. But given the complaints maybe trimming down was, as Statler and Waldorf would say, an act of mercy.

country bear, its time has past keep everything else....

wasnt tom sawyer part of opening day. As sad as it is, i would say that entire area could be used better (If possible with ADA)
Interesting that you're mentioning two attractions that have both changed at DL. Country Bear Jamboree is now the Pooh ride and Tom Sawyer Island has been Pirate Island for years now. Are they improvements? Not really, IMHO.

Its Speedway, and it isn't close.
Yes, it's the popular answer because...it's true.

It's a gigantic waste of space, and while I know some folks have fond memories of it being their "first time driving" - the same attraction exists in basically every dinky little park in the nation, one way or another.

As @Weather_Lady pointed out, it's neither futuristic, nor "speedy" nor anything else.

I've always hoped they would demolish it and instead use it as a Fantasyland extension, and bring the Pinocchio/Alice rides from DL over, and add a third unique small dark ride. Even though it's certainly in better shape than it used to be (pre-Fantasyland expansion, it was dire and almost embarassing), our Fantasyland is nothing like the fun that DL's is, with all the dark rides and the themed exteriors.
