Worst Disney Merchandise??

None. I was always completely satisfied with all my purchases. Next time we will buy even more because the towels, megamugs etc. have become very popular items in our home and we actually regret that we didn't buy more. A mistake we will not repeat.

Cellphone charms, i guess im too rough with my phone or something cuz they always break! Then i have to get another one, my current one has lasted 2 months and ive already broken half of it ugh

A friend of ours had the same problem. I fixed her tinkerbell one several times until it broke again but also lost the charm. I make it a rule to not buy anything that sees a lot of rough wear, like the cellphone charms or a keychain. I also don't buy a lot of stuff that "sits" like snowglobes, frames, etc. I have bad allergies so I don't need anything else that will collect dust.

I generally buy t-shirts and jewelry. I guess I was a little disappointed with the clasp on the mickey necklace I bought, as it can be difficult to open/close. I also bought the "Electric Mayhem" Muppet shirt, in a size larger than normal since they are also that retro style that runs small. It is a tan color and seems to be a little too "see-through." I only wear it with another tee underneath. It's very nice and soft but I can't really stand to wear it in the summer.

The other thing we buy every trip is a Christmas ornament for the Disney themed tree :D

I guess my dissatisfaction with some Disney purchases are just because they seem to have bad luck attached to them. Two examples spring to mind.
1. I buy a Christmas ornament every year. This past November I bought a collection of 10 mini ornaments. I had just finished decorating the tree, and it tipped over. I broke most of my ornaments. (My wonderful husband, who is currently standing over my shoulder, spent over 2 hours on the phone with WDW reps, including a personal shopper, who was AWESOME, by the way, trying to replace the broken ornaments, to no avail. :() I guess I'll have to buy more this October!!!

2. Bought a t-shirt this past November. Wore it once on the trip. The second time I wore it - at home - I was working in my mom's kitchen and somehow the button on my jeans wore a HUGE hole in the bottom of the shirt. Still not sure how that happened. Guess I'll have to buy more this October!!!! :sohappy:

I actually still have a working spraybottle/fan from the 2000, complete with the Disney 2000 logo. It's survived three trips to WDW plus two other trips and various local events. Nothing wrong with it cept maybe the velcro on the carrying strap is starting to get a little worn. Maybe the quality has gone down since?

My pick, those Mickey Car Antana toppers, my sister's just didn't last.

Too many popular genre's..PoTC, Hannah Montana, HSM, Stitch..Etc..It's so sad to see a decline in Attraction based shirts for many of the attractions...They seem to stick to one thing and keep making more.

AMEN! I was dying to buy an Indiana Jones Adventure shirt at Disneyland, but all of the stuff they had was generic Indy stuff and I passed. I know the attraction isn't brand new, so I do understand, but if they had just about any design that was attraction specific, I would have bought it.

Don't even get me started! The only thing "Temple of the Forbidden Eye" I have is a mug I found at one of the Disney outlets many years ago. Every time I went to Disneyland I hoped that I'd be surprised by a diecast troop transport and/or a neat Forbidden Eye shirt.

Antenna balls...depends on the type. Our baseball one got worn quickly on the car. The red lines faded. Our soccer ball one had withstood a lot and it still is in great shape. We actually use them on our cars and change them for the holidays/seasons.

I have taken snowglobes home. I have about 40 of them. I hate when they get bubbles in the top...especially if there isn't a topper on the globe.

My poor antenna topper was stolen off my car while in the Magic Kingdom parking lot last year, the one with the gold ears. But's that's ok, I had a keychain of the antenna topper and just ripped out the keychain part and stuck it on my car. So I say :p to whomever stole my antenna topper!

Everyone probably knows this, but if you buy the squeeze breeze bottles and they break, and you're still at Disney, just find a squeeze breeze cart and ask to exchange for another one. You should have no problem.

I got the sorcerer Mickey antenna topper for my blue Corolla and it survived a lot. It is still in very good condition, and it's been through a hurricane or two and a lot of storms

We still have the spray bottle from 2002. It has made many a trip and saved my sanity on more than one visit. Now our girls are older and can better deal with the heat.

Worst Merchandise we ever bought? Flip Flops. My nephew bought a pair of the more 'expensive' flip flops and didn't get through the first day before they broke. They were great about replacing them, but it was still a pain in the neck.

PONCHOS! :fork:

1) If you are having to buy a Disney poncho, it's raining out. :(

2) On a rainy summer day, you are just as wet under the poncho (sweat) as you would be if you hadn't worn the darned thing in the first place.

:lol::lol::lol:

We go to the dollar store and stock up before leaving home. They fit nicely into cargo short pockets and when they get a rip or you are done with them tossing them away is much le$$ painful.

For my money the worst moichandise is the en-vogue tissue paper thin t-shirts. Somehow Disney has been able to spin these as being "stylish" while jacking the price up on cheaper materials...well, I have to disagree. It's like wearing a sheer curtain and does little to nothing for the sweat factor except stick to you like a wet paper towel and the sizes are heinously small, especially after a wash and dry.

The Mickey fan that clamps on to strollers. I think we spent like $16 on it and it barely moves air. I had a few inches from my daughter's face while she was sleeping and maybe two strands of hair were actually blowing.

I think the worst thing are the big balloons that are sold on Main St. The kids find them attractive and fun, but you can't walk around with them so they wind up in the room and then have to be broken because you can't take them on a plane.

My bigger issue are things we liked and bought at the time, but just become dust collectors over time. Especially, refillable mugs, pins and plush toys. Over 20 years we have way more than is necessary and no place to keep them.

OMG...I can't agree with you more on the balloons. I bought one that lights up at MNSSHP and it was a pain in the butt to take it around the park all night because it was so windy. Fortunately we are able to drive back home so now my daughter just plays with it in our living room. I will say that those balloons last a long time. One I bought back in summer lasted over a month!
