Worst Attraction at WDW

Also, I'll say this: Jungle Cruise is completely pointless now, with Kilimanjaro Safaris in Animal Kingdom being the same thing with real animals.

I respectfully disagree with this. Safari isn't even open at night, and the Jungle Cruise is so much fun in the dark! It has a completely different feel to it IMO.

I am almost crying to read you didn't like American Adventure. How much cast member is even involved? There is a guy there that is really awesome. He tells you the story of the flags. Cheesy, but nice guy.

And Pirates? I mean, the last little traffic jam isn't ideal, but I'm just happy to stay on a bit longer. If anything, I wish they'd phase out the movie tie in...much better just classic pirates.

American Adventure is one of my favorites... great show, great music, and the Voices of Liberty as a pre-show is divine. But I know exactly who you're talking about! I think his name is Larry or Lawrence! I go enough that he remembers me and it is my favorite thing. He is a tough one and very strict... but I broke him down LOL &I agree with you on the POTC ride :)

I really don't like Indy Speedway at all... whenever I go on, the car that I get always slams me around and I can't get control... it's so frustrating.

Love of a mouse, finally, someone agrees with me on the American Adventure. The CMs there do have an attitude that is not anywhere else. Abrupt, herd people like cattle, tell you where you can sit, I don't think the CMs at Stitch are as bordering on nasty as the AA ones are. Oh, and I have to wonder, so many CMs I see just waving people on attractions. I wonder how many could be replaced with animatronics?

Chef Mickey, for some reason, I had the "herd like cattle" feeling more at American Adventure more than anywhere else at Disney. Maybe the way you have to as a group go up an escalator and around the building? The CMs don't want you to touch anything yet there is dust everywhere (The Land has dust too). The end hallway is like a 50s museum. It seems to be before and after the show and not the show itself that is the problem for me.

The WORST, I think, are:

Speedway (beating a dead horse)
Mission Space (was beyond over hyped and extremely disappointing)
Capt EO (just...why)
Peter Pan (it's so busted and old...)
Pooh (just...why)
*These are the rides that, if my kids ask to go on them, I actually, audibly groan.

The ones I think aren't worth the wait and don't make me cry to not do:

Soarin (not worth the wait. Overhyped. One exp I don't feel I need to repeat. Unfortunately, for me, my kids like it. I should move this to the groan list lol)
Nemo (under impressed. I feel so much more could have been done)
Brainstormer (I'm too old for this)
Buzz Lightyear (MK) (rendered obsolete by TSMM, IMO. Same concept done much better)
Pirates (Again, with what the movie franchise turned into, they could have done so much! Nothing flows here, except the water. Everything looks old and I HATE the constant traffic jam at the end. I'm also irritated that, on our last trip, CMs said my son's powerchair wasn't allowed in the building AT ALL. We had to leave a $25k wheelchair outside! WTH)

Shows/other attractions that I think can go or are the worst:
Swiss Family (just...whaaa...)
BatB (used to be good. Has slowly died these past few years)
The Land (float through greenhouse)
American Adventure (finally did it this weekend. CMs were very rude. The show was long and, honestly, boring. The effects were cool and all but it was just a lifeless recap of history class)
Nemo stage show (I had never been so happy to have a crying baby)

If I had to spend a day with you I'd just sit in the Rose & Crown Pub all day

I've never seen a bad attraction at WDW, but I've learned that It's a Small World is almost unbearable in a certain frame of mind (i.e. waiting to get off but stalled in boat traffic at the end of the ride and having to listen to that song over and over and over again).

Lose that 'almost' and I completely agree. I remember a guy sued Disney because he got stuck on the ride for over an hour; I believe he was wheelchair bound, so everyone else was able to step off the ride vehicle while he just had to sit there until they fixed the problem. Ya know what, I don't blame him. He probably had that dadgum song stuck in his head for weeks, if not months, and had nightmares featuring those little dolls.

This seems like a super long list... are you pretty unhappy most of the trip or do you just stomach going on these things for your family to be able to go on the very few things you seem to actually like? I'm very surprised by a lot of these things, namely PoTC, Mission Space (did you do Orange or Green? Green is boring for sure... Orange is definitely not), The Land (learning is fun!), and Nemo stage show (My wife and I personally loved it, but to each his/her own!).

'Soarin'.

Can't stand it. You wait in usually huge line for a ride that doesn't feel immersive in the way a ST or MS does. Cattle call to get people on the ride and if you have been as unlucky as me you get stuck behind the 'TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES!!!' family and see nothing but feet above 3/4 of the screen for the entire ride.

It wasn't CM involvement in the show. It was while we were waiting. There were CMs being very rude and pushy with my family. I'm not going to go into details but, as I said, it may have swayed my opinion of the attraction. I didn't hate it. Just wasn't OH MY GOD about it.

When it comes to PotC, as I said, I don't hate it, but I do think it could have flowed better. I also think that many of the AAs need attention. They look very aged. I don't care for the JS tie ins. It looks like he was just thrown in random places.

Excuse me. I never said I was unhappy. The question was what are the WORST attractions. There are 4 parks with A LOT of attractions. I only actually listed 5 that I felt were the worst ( IN MY OPINION). The others, as stated, were ones that I just don't get excited over. There are many things I like, actually, that my family doesnt, including CoP, Tiki, and UoE. Not every person is going to like every attraction. Get over that. Just because what I don't like isn't what you don't like doesn't make me an unhappy person that's just stomaching things for the few I like. I'm well aware MS has two sides. I rode the Orange side and found it BORING. My opinion. My dad thought it was boring, too, as did my brother. Didn't see it being worth the hype. Just because you were thrilled with it doesn't mean everyone else is. No, I didn't like Nemo. I love the arts and am a performer myself. I didn't like it. None of my family did. Are you really going to dispute every thing everyone list that isn't on your list? Personally, I have no issue with Stitch or the BAH over at HS that everyone complains about. I also have no complaints about Journey despite many not liking the current ride. That's their opinion. I'm not going to call each person out about it. Everyone has their thing.

Oh, be careful! lol. Soarin has a huge following. Can't say you don't like it ;) lol

Oh I know,

My wife absolutely LOVES soarin so it is always a must ride for us. Fun to see what people do and do not like!

Exactly. lol. My kids love it, as do my mother as she's not much of a thrill rider so it's her pace. I don't HATE it, per se. I just don't feel it's worth the wait and I do HATE the location. I think they shouldn't have put it in the bottom of that building like that. We travel with a wheelchair so that is based off of that. We also usually have at least one baby in our party so the fact that strollers aren't allowed in the building, even if you're just going to eat or want to wait for people to ride is annoying. I understand the rule, just don't like it.

As I read the responses, I find it interesting what people do and don't like, esp if they say why. I find it interesting to see other people's views on things like rides and attractions. EVERYONE has at least one attraction in the 4 parks that they walk past without a second glance.

I grew up just outside Los Angeles and after coming to WDW and riding Soarin', I was just "ehhh" after it was over. It's a flight simulation that gives first person view of the California landscapes. Just visit California if you want to see it! If you can afford a visit to WDW, you can afford a visit to California.
I would suggest revamping Soarin'. Show landscapes of the entire USA and call it "Soarin' over America". It's clear there's just as many international guests as Americans in the parks. Wouldn't that version of Soarin' be a great representation of our country? It could show the magnificent tundras of Alaska, deserts of the southwest, Great Plains, NYC, Florida Keys, etc. move it to the pavilion of the American Adventure to spice up the place, they've got room to expand! Plus I usually pass by AA these days and ride maelstrom or eat some exotic meal in another country. Anyways, that's much better than a focus on California. If not that, show landscapes of the entire world and go global on it.

Anyways, that's my rant from someone who sees Soarin' out my window. It's not as big a deal seeing California as much as the entire country or world. Oh and move the Jungle Cruise and Enchanted Tiki Room to AK. It just makes sense.

Awesome! I think you're right.

I got to dial the special number on the phone at the entrance for a special message on my birthday thanks to him! :)

Wow, um, okay. No, I don't go through everyone's list and dispute every thing that isn't on my list. And I didn't say you were wrong, I just said I was surprised, that's all. I was also shocked your list was oh so very, very long. I don't expect every person to like every attraction, either. That would be ridiculous. For example, I personally loathe It's a Small World, and I'm sure there is a legion of fans out there that disagree with me.

And by the way, you more or less said you were unhappy when you said you audibly groan when your kids ask to go on some rides. I'm sorry I misinterpreted that, though; that's my mistake. I apologize, as I seem to have rubbed you the wrong way. I hope you have a great weekend nonetheless. :)

From what I hear, they actually are in the process of revamping Soarin', and will be calling it Soarin' Over the World. Oh, and they will have versions specific to each park, instead of showing us Disneyland footage at DisneyWorld. And as much as I enjoy Soarin', the film certainly needs some serious TLC, that's for dang sure.

It's Tough to be a Bug. Followed closely by Stitch's Great Escape and Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor. Sorry for so many choices, I'm feeling negative today.

Tomorrowland Speedway could be fun and cool if it used "tomorrow" technology instead of 70's technology. It's kind of an embarrassment right now.
I love the monsters! I think its a different show every time and always funny, no matter now many times I see it.

LOL, oh yeah. Just going to smoggy, traffic ridden California is definately going to be the same as "soarin" OVER california. WOW! I HAVE been to California. A cold, aggrivating state, nothing but congestion. The soarin film gives a lift over all the usual junk that IS california. That being said, I agree, the film needs some fixing up.
