Good for you, Jen!! And Merry Christmas to you and your lads.

I'm on my way home from stopping at my mom's, where I snacked only on raw veggies. I have a Cornish hen to roast for dinner.

I so wish I didn't have to go to work in the morning...

Good morning!!! I hope everybody enjoyed Christmas. Zumba and root chakra yoga s far today. Ginger green tea with lemon for now and a smoothie in a bit. Packing a salad for the real exercise later the post holiday clearance sales. @King Fergus you have trained me well Today's goal save at least 75%. I'm starting to run low on wrapping paper so that is the top of my list. Haven't bought any in at least 4 years. Yea me! Stay warm and keep moving forward.

Hello-

Checking in with a workout called Tabata & Toning. I'm going on a yoga hiatus whilst the boy is home for the Holidays. My in laws thought it was a splendid idea to give him a Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver (very noisy) and a Dalek Alarm Clock that is very loud. Needless to say, it is very difficult to get one's om on with my moments of zen punctuated by a robotic voice that shouts, "Exterminate!"

There is very little that is more annoying than the voice of a Dalek.

Hubs was the 10th Doctor for Halloween a few years ago, so we have a sonic screwdriver in the house, but 10's sonic was a lot sleeker than 11's, so probably is not as noisy.

No, Siobhan, this thing makes different noises from different doctors. Duncan pressed a button and said in a very matter-of-fact tone, "That is the noise the 3rd doctor's sonic screwdriver makes?" I'm like, "How the hell do you know?"

That's OK, because the Dalek Alarm Clock was from my SIL. She has a baby boy who is just over a year old. Next Christmas, I am sending the loudest, most obnoxious toys I can find for him.

Good God,only retired people would know from the third Doctor. I'm 50 and the Dr of my childhood is the fourth.

Revenge= :)

Hello, healthy peeps!

I am checking in with 40 minutes of step aerobics (I think I am the only person left in the States who does Step.) and 100 reps of barbell hip thrusters. Do I know how to spend a Friday night, or what? ;)

Evening, peeps.

Checking in with a Barre workout. I always wear my heart rate monitor when I work out and I usually glance at it during the workout. I looked at after my work out was complete and it says I burned 65,535 calories. :eek: That seems slightly dubious to me. Luckily, I've done this work out quite a bit in the past, so I have a baseline of what I should have burned. I am hoping my HRM is not broken, I'm addicted to it. :oops::rolleyes:

Dubious, indeed. Which barre workout do you do?

It was from a 5 DVD set called Fusion Fitness Dream Body. Each DVD has a different focus. They're all right, but I feel like the instructors are a bit on the Stepford Wives side--perfect make-up/hair throughout each workout and totally kitted out in Lululemon. LOL

Hahaha, Lululemon. I've been pondering Tracey Mallet barre workouts.
