working out for Disney

Good morning Disney fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought about coffee this morning but I'm no longer quite craving it so much. Busy morning here. Jillian Michael's ripped in 30 (just one level) Then I did Yoga for Young Bodies followed by Root Chakra Yoga. There was lots of twisting that's supposed to eliminate toxins. I'm doing well with a berry, almond milk, protein powder, kale shake for breakfast, salad(raw mixed veggies) for snack another shake for lunch (spinach, peach, coconut milk and protein powder) more veggies at mid-day and lots of greens and brown rice for dinner. I wish @LuLaSue was around because 1 I miss her and 2 I have some questions for her. I hope all of you have an amazing day! And @epcotisbest stay away from Debby! LOL
Thanks for the encouragement...I've been walking every morning and evening, but not eating nearly as well as you...but we are taking advantage of local veggies...grilled squash again instead of fried...man, I love, love, love good old fashioned fried squash....did a tomato smoothie after this morning's walk...just some freshly picked tomatoes, cucumber, spinach, carrot, a small piece of onion, flax seed, some water, ice cubes and a touch of Tiger Sauce for kick. Not as nasty as I figured and was actually refreshing, but I put too much ice in it this time, so it got a little runny. No Debbie in sight, but my wife had some pop tarts left over from her recent road trip...but I resisted that sugary, processed little rectangular tart.

Just got back from my morning walk and about 1/2 way around my dear lake the skies opened up! I checked the weather channel before I left and they lied to me! LOL Cold hard rain not the warm magical Florida liquid sunshine I get while in Disney, so it's off to dry off and have a cup of herbal tea, to warm up.
Weather channel, and especially local weather guys, tend to lie here as well.
Our local weather cutie, who I watched every evening, and who gave the weather directly to me in her own sultry voice, had a tragedy in her life and moved away from here a couple of years ago...I miss her but my wife used to get so mad when she was filling the big screen with her magnificent smile.
The conversation went something like this...."blah, blah, blah...did you hear me?" - "Not now, Dagmar is on." - " So what is the forecast? - "What forecast?"

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for you getting out and walking! Good for you trying new healthier foods also. I don't eat perfect, but I'm really tying to do so hence the 21 day eating cleanse I'm on. Trust me while at Disney I did some major damage to my diet! Way too many fries, white four (which never passes my lips at home) and sugar substitutes, so now that things are back to normal I'm really trying to cleanse my system! My major downfall corn chips(organic non-gmo) funny thing I don't even miss themo_O Tip for grilled veggies a little really good balsamic vinegar gives them a nice flavor. Have you tried oven baking "fried" veggies? Just get a food oil sprayer and lightly spray the baking sheet dip the veggie in an egg white and milk mixture coat with coating of your choice (flour, corn meal) seasoned of course lightly spray the top and bake.

I will try that oven baking tip sometime, but I really like grilled veggies on the Big Green Egg, and being a typical guy from the south, occasionally some beef, pork and poultry makes its way to the fire...I admire your dedication...part of me even sometimes wonders if I could give up meat...but I quickly get over it.
Do you recommend a good brand of balsamic? Got some at Trader Joe's that I didn't particularly love.

I'm not too picky so I usually get what's on sale! My dh only like what's called balsamic glaze(reduced balsamic vinegar) it's sweeter and a little goes a very long way. I'm pretty sure it's Cento brand (sorry just ran out) The no meat, dairy/& or egg thing is mostly because I digest plant matter much easier than animal products. That being said when my dh gets his smoker going the pork smells really tempting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here piggy, piggy, piggy! LOL Thankfully he smokes some tofu and tempeh for me while it's running, so I'm not left out of the fun.

Budget cuts????????????????? Walking is FREE!!!!!!!!!! That's why I'm surprised @real mad hatter doesn't do more of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By budget cuts i meant
Monday 2 miles
Tuesday Wedding Dress fitting (not mine or @mrdisman before you go there)
Wednesday Cakes to bake for nephews birthday
Thursday (tonight) cakes to decorate for said nephew
Friday Birthday
Saturday Baby shower
All this as well as a 9-5:30 leaves no time for walking :(

Does leave time for coffee though :devilish:

Believe it or not.I stay right by the sea.( 300 metres away from my front door ) So I do a lot of walking down our prom, your boardwalk, and it's possible the only exercise I do nowadays..I still have a Marin mountain bike that cost me $900 that I very occasionally ride..Gone are the days of Squash..5 a side soccer..But yes,I do like my power walk along the seafront.;)

Good morning everybody!!! Yessss, we had a blast at The Monkees concert!!! It was so much fun!! Everyone sang and danced and had a great time!! Then, we stopped by to have lunch with our DD!! Miss her all the time!! Had a very good lunch, too. Then, we stopped by a winery and relaxed and bought a bottle to bring back home. Nice!!
Today is very busy around the neighborhood. They are paving right outside my door, which, by the way, started at 6:30 am this morning!! The whole house was shaking with all that racket going on out there! The cat does not like it.
Anyhoo, I will probably wait and do grocery shopping later this afternoon when they have gotten up the road a bit. Got to do the laundry and clean up a bit. Walking will have to be later this evening when the road crew have disappeared.
@figmentfan423 that choc cherry drink sounds yummy!! @epcotisbest keep up the great dieting and keep on moving. You would have loved the concert. They had a big screen and showed lots of excerpts from the tv show and interviews too.
Everyone have a great day here and across the pond @real mad hatter and @MR FERRET
